Administers comprehensive hearing and balance evaluations, tests, or examinations to patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment, using specialized instruments and equipment. Manages the audiology function/department on a day to day basis, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, work methods and standards practice.

<li>Conducts and interprets behavioral, electroacoustic, or electrophsioligc methods used to assess hearing, balance, and neural system function.</li>

<li>Conducts or direct research on hearing or speech topics and report findings to help in the development of procedures, technology, or marketing.</li>

Your services support the Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations program. <li>The compensation and pension exam helps the VA answer questions about Veterans' current health. The practitioners will not decide the percent of disability or rating, develop treatment plans, or prescribe medication.</li>
<li>Completed documentation is sent to the VA for final determination on all disability claims.</li>
<li>Prior to the exam, the practitioner reviews a Veteran's medical or mental health history, using electronic bookmarks that highlight the portions applicable to the Veteran's claimed condition.</li>

Working with Department of Veterans Affairs to provide help to Veterans achieve their hearing health goals is one of your main job duties. With your prior knowledge of identifying hearing loss and offering effective solutions, you’ll integrate seamlessly, ready to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:

<li>Provide both on and off-site hearing aid counseling, consultation, and customer care.</li>
<li>Attend to both scheduled and walk-in customers.</li>
<li>Educate the customer about the long-term effects of hearing loss.</li>
<li>Administer a series of audiological tests and review the results with the customer.</li>
<li>Make the best product recommendation based on individual needs.</li>
<li>Walk the customer through a demonstration, testing the model they select.</li>
<li>Fit the customer for their new hearing aids.</li>
<li>Deliver consistent after-care to ensure the customer is satisfied and comfortable using their new devices.</li>
