Adecco is hiring for a top client in Lancaster City hiring for a temp-to-hire Shipping Assistant. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes incoming and outgoing shipments under the guidance of the Assistant &amp; Warehouse Manager
Inspects all incoming and outgoing items for accuracy and signs of damage.
Manages the processing of small parcel shipments, while scanning orders and logging all relevant data for outgoing shipments.
Generates labels for pallets, cartons, and products.
Loads and unloads trucks, relocates materials within the warehouse.
Maintains forklifts, shipping equipment, and facility, ensuring upkeep &amp; cleanliness.
Wraps skids for finished goods, removes trash and scrap as necessary.
Participates in inventory counts, physical inventory, and cycle counts.
Supports and documents repack and warehousing efforts.
Adheres to safety procedures, exercising sound judgment in all responsibilities.
Assist with stocking the sample room by organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items as needed.
Aids the Marketing and Sales Department in assembling show sample packages.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Supervise employees making sure that all shipped goods are placed in the proper locations and that daily tasks are being performed.</li>
<li>Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of TAB's shipping/storage plan. </li>
<li>Verifying materials and/or merchandise against shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. </li>
<li>Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. </li>
<li>May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.</li>
<li>Verify that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests.</li>
</ul>
 
Knowledge
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods</li>
<li>Knowledge for providing customer and personal services.</li>
<li>Knowledge of safety around heavy machinery</li>
<li>Knowledge of WMS SCALE is preferred </li>

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in warehousing, receiving components, and inventory management in the manufacturing or transportation industry.
