Client Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Support Specialist ("CSS") role is designed to provide both onsite/in-person clinical facilitation and remote administrative duties. In person, a CSS works with a clinician to facilitate care visits for patients. Remotely, a CSS works on administrative duties that include, but are not limited to, chart preparation and Behavioral Health Integration. Please Note- while it is possible that the role may have the potential of becoming hybrid, this is currently anticipated to be full time onsite with our partnering facilities and not remote at this time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Onsite Clinical Facilitation
<ul>
<li>Assisting patients by offering education related to their behavioral health visits, whether the treating clinician is conducting the visit in person or via telehealth</li>
<li>Providing technical support and assistance for telehealth visits to include room and equipment preparation</li>
<li>Supporting clinicians by accessing vitals and other relevant data from the facility's EMR</li>
<li>Procurement of patient referral documents as needed</li>
<li>Acting as a liaison between the clinicians and the facility staff</li>
<li>Interacting with staff and/or family members as necessary</li>
<li>Maintaining responsibility for proper handling and cleaning of MediTelecare equipment</li>

Behavioral Health Integration ("BHI")

<li>Completing assigned number of BHI cases within the required timeline by gathering necessary information from patient medical records and entering it into the company's BHI system/software.</li>
</ul>
Clinician Support
<ul>
<li>Providing assistance to assigned clinicians by accessing the facility's EMR and recording relevant data into our EHR system in preparation for the clinical visit</li>
<li>Working closely with the clinician to assure that patient visits run smoothly and efficiently</li>
</ul>

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
All Clinical Support Specialists are expected to perform all of the core functions as described above as assigned. Each individual role may change from time to time depending on scheduling, the needs of our facility partners, clinician needs, and changes in the healthcare industry.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSING:

<li>Minimum High School Diploma required</li>
<li>1+ year in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required</li>
<li>Medical Assistant or CNA certification a plus</li>
</ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

<li>Basic working knowledge of medical terminology</li>
<li>Experience in the use of online healthcare tools</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel</li>
