Job Description The College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Al and Mary Agnes McQuinn Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and, based on qualifications, be eligible for a tenured professorship in the College’s Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS). The position supports teaching and research relating to entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, and related disciplines. This is a nine-month appointment. If hired at the Assistant Professor rank, the candidate will be appointed to the endowed Chair upon successful promotion with tenure at the Associate Professor rank. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship programs designed for a general business education, the McQuinn Chair’s position within CAFNR lends itself to a natural emphasis on entrepreneurship in life sciences, food and agriculture, rural development, and natural resource entrepreneurship. When created in 2004, the McQuinn Chair was designed to enhance research, classroom teaching, and one-on-one mentoring in entrepreneurial leadership, with a specific charge to enhance the life sciences economic engine in the State of Missouri and to help raise MU’s national reputation as promoter of innovation in this emerging field. This includes the pursuit of innovative and non-conventional visions, the parameters and requirements of risk-taking, and personal conduct and priorities. The scope of the chair is not only with the creation, management, and growth of new firms and organizations but also with the operation of existing enterprises, the adaptation of technological and organizational innovations, and the management of human resources. We are interested in candidates whose professional background, research, and/or teaching interests complement DASS’s existing strengths in entrepreneurship theory, the economics of institutions and organizations, natural resource economics, community development, and policy analysis. DASS is home to several research and outreach centers, including the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI), the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center (RaFF), the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership (GICL), the Financial Research Institute (FRI), the Interdisciplinary Center for Food Security, along with the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. DASS has a strong tradition of granting faculty extraordinary latitude to develop new and innovative centers, programs, and activities. Position Responsibilities: While the assignment of specific responsibilities will depend on the experience, credentials, and interests of the successful candidate, we anticipate drawing from the following areas for the assignment:

<li>Graduate teaching in areas related to entrepreneurship, organizational economics, and/or public policy.</li>

Provost and Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs

The Chief of Endocrinology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the&nbsp;Division. Digital Content Specialist

The Residential College in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan <a href="http://www.rc.lsa.umich.edu/" target="_blank">http://www.rc.lsa.umich.edu/</a> is seeking applicants for a full-time Lecturer III to teach courses in the Drama Program and to serve as the head of this program. This is a full time, non-tenure track position with a university-year appointment period beginning January 1, 2024. The Residential College (RC) Drama Program (<a href="https://lsa.umich.edu/rc/current-students/curriculum/drama.html" target="_blank">https://lsa.umich.edu/rc/current-students/curriculum/drama.html</a>) offers introductory and advanced courses in the history, theory, and practice of theatre. The program offers a major and a minor, in which students learn about and practice many aspects of play production from devising and design to acting and directing. Class sizes tend to be small. The successful candidate will serve as head of this program and faculty advisor to the Drama major and teach five courses throughout the academic year (fall and winter terms). These courses will contribute primarily to the Drama Program but could also contribute to other RC programs, such as the Arts and Ideas Program (the RC humanities major) or the First-year Seminar Program (intensive writing courses that satisfy the first-year writing requirement). Additional duties include participation in college- and program-wide activities. The RC Drama Program differs from other performance programs on campus in its commitment to socially engaged theatre, social justice, and community engagement. Some courses enable students to explore theatre in collaboration with local schools, prisons, or public-housing communities. RC Drama courses often integrate textual analysis and performance practices and teach theatre history by staging previously written texts and exploring applied theatre by devising original performances. Candidates in all areas of performance research or practical theatre are welcome to apply. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Human Resources will be a key member of the school’s leadership team and will develop, implement and administer human resource strategy in support of the mission of the School and reflective of its anti-racist, equitable and inclusive commitments. The Director will provide strategic direction for the organization, specifically in the areas of talent and performance management, employee relations, orientation,&nbsp; training and development, and compensation analysis. The Director of Human Resources will also provide direct support to the senior administration team on all HR matters and help to create and develop policies that attract, support, and retain excellent personnel.&nbsp;
This newly created position reflects the needs of a school that has grown in program, students and employees. In this stage of its development, MMFS seeks an experienced human resource professional who can strategically assess, evolve and create systems to support this growth. THE POSITION
As part of the leadership team, this position is critical in helping to develop a culture that provides opportunities for all employees to grow and learn. The Director will help support the school's diversity and equity initiatives through its HR practices and policies. By examining identity, equity, and privilege in their own practice, the position will serve as a model and help sustain a school culture where all social identities feel welcomed.
Essential Functions:
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Establish and implement HR strategies that effectively communicate and support the School’s mission, strategic vision, and overall business operations objectives
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Function as an advisor to the senior administration and guide division heads/administration regarding critical organizational and management-related issues
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans using a DEIJB lens to meet the needs of the School
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Provide leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, retention, training, and leadership development
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Advise leadership on disciplinary issues that arise and possible legal implications with consultation of the school’s attorney
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Help the school manage its benefits program, host open enrollment events, and make recommendations to school leadership regarding benefit changes. Additionally, the Director of HR, in conjunction with the CFO and school leadership team, will meet with the school’s health insurance broker to review health benefits, recommend modifications to the benefits lineup and funding strategies as necessary

■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Consistently review employment practices and ensure that the school complies with them, as well as analyze the school’s existing policies and procedures to propose improvements and/or issue new policies when needed&nbsp;
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Help oversee the maintenance of employment manuals, ensure all policies continue to meet the school's needs, and update the manuals as new protocols and policies are established by external agencies such as State and Federal governments. These protocols and policies include the following but are not limited to:&nbsp;

■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Work with the CFO to oversee and manage the school’s retirement plans to ensure compliance with sections 402(g) and 415 and ERISA regulations&nbsp;
■&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Participates in the school’s risk management program and works proactively to mitigate risk in the human resources area

The new Director of Human Resources will be an experienced professional who has demonstrated success in all aspects of human resources.
