The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Primary Qualifications include:

<li>A background in complex machining, particularly for gears.</li>
<li>A minimum of 8 years manufacturing experience.</li>
<li>Must be able to read 2D drawings and create marking fixture drawings.</li>
<li>A good working knowledge of lean manufacturing, product planning and routing.</li>
<li>Must have attention to detail and understand the need for accuracy, timeliness and quality in assigned work tasks.</li>

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer position is quite varied regarding the scope of work performed. This position is responsible for creating and enhancing processes and systems by leveraging new technologies and automation. This position will research automation techniques, test new systems for efficiency and assist in the planning of factory layouts to optimize production. 
Requirements:
Essential Functions of Position:
<ul>
<li>Work with design engineers to improve product design for ease of manufacturing and assembly.</li>
<li>Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed to improve/ optimize the manufacturing process.</li>
<li>Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency</li>
<li> Analyze production data for improvement</li>
<li>Coordinate equipment, maintenance and repairs to ensure manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational. </li>
<li>Maintain manufacturing process documentation (SOP’s), including technical reports and process specifications</li>
<li>Ensure quality is maintained</li>
<li>Collaborate with other engineering resources to ensure efficient production</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
