POSITION SUMMARY
Provide project-specific accounting support to ensure projects are set up and maintained in accordance with client agreements as well as established internal policies and procedures. The Project Accountant is the front-line liaison with the client on all project-related invoicing and billing procedures, as well as with the project manager regarding budgeting contract fees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a variety of complex tasks to accomplish specific project accounting requirements as outlined by client agreements, and as outlined by internal processes and procedures. Tasks included, but are not limited to:

<li>Set up and maintenance of project budgets in accounting database with input from project managers.</li>
<li>Conduct meetings with project managers and/or Principals on at least a monthly basis to inquire on project status and update “estimates to complete,” in Deltek (Company’s ERP system), where necessary. Identify project-related issues to resolve timely.</li>
<li>Monitor financial progress from project initiation through closeout by tracking budgets, financial projections through analysis of financial reports. This includes advising project managers of budgets exceeded by project, phases, and/or discipline.</li>
<li>Ensure all required contract documentation is executed for clients and sub-consultants and is entered into accounting database properly.</li>
<li>Monitor sub-consultant budgets and submit consultant invoices for processing to Accounts Payable.</li>
<li>Assist project managers with identifying project differences in revenue projections, budgets, etc.</li>
<li>Processing client billing reviews and invoices monthly.</li>
<li>Collections contact with all clients with balances over 60-days aged.</li>
<li>Act as a point of contact with clients and sub-consultants, as necessary.</li>
<li>Maintenance and updating of various specific internal company reports.</li>
<li>Provide ad-hoc accounting reports to management team as requested.</li>
<li>Assist with management of overall contract compliance (i.e., certificates of insurance, assist the Director of Contracts in facilitating sub consultant contracts), as needed and where applicable.</li>

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

<li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled. </li>
<li>Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests. </li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. </li>
<li>Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies, identifying opportunities for process improvements. </li>
<li>Perform various other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager. </li>

Required Skills:

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA / CMA </li>
<li>5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, and internal controls. </li>
<li>Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (preferably SAP), with advanced Excel skills. </li>
<li>Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and solve problems effectively. </li>

We have an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Accountant. This role can be hybrid in any of the following states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Maine, or remote in Texas.
 
POSITION SUMMARY
The Revenue Account will apply principles of accounting to record financial information and create financial reports related to Summit Utilities, Inc. and subsidiaries’ activities and records.
 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Analyze and complete standard journal entries in accordance with month-end close schedule pertaining to revenue, commodity expense, regulatory assets and liabilities, AR and other entries as assigned.</li>
<li>Prepare all entries in accordance with the deadlines per the close calendar.</li>
<li>Prepare revenue and other reports assigned.</li>
<li>Perform analysis on revenue and commodity expenses as assigned.</li>
<li>Reconcile all revenue and cost of gas balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.</li>
<li>Supporting regulatory team questions as required</li>
<li>Prepare for and assist in completing annual audit including:

<li>Complete PBC schedules on a timely basis</li>
<li>Maintain accounting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory authorities.</li>

 EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, maintain the general ledger and accounts payable system for the Health Center. Prepare and enter all transactions related to cash receipts, disbursements, as well as other financial transactions of the Health Center. Serves as the backup for the Financial Controller and prepares and processes the Health Center’s bi-weekly payroll, including payroll tax reporting. Maintain accounting standards and internal controls and other duties as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Prepare the Cash Receipts Journal each day and enter the activity in the general ledger (primary). Verify that each day’s cash receipts are accounted for, including over-the-counter payments, mail receipts, and electronic funds transfers (primary).</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Collect checks received from mail sorter and record in the general ledger. Prepare bank deposits and reconcile to cash receipts journal. Review monthly bank reconciliation.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Maintain organized cash receipt files that clearly document work performed.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Prepare invoice data sheets and enter into general ledger. Ensure invoices are approved for payment by department managers, CFO and CEO. Maintain cash requirements journal to ensure prompt payment of invoices.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Reconcile vendor statements to vendor ledgers monthly.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Mail non-payroll checks as approved for payment by CFO. Ensure that appropriately authorized signatories sign checks.</li>

<li>Maintain paid and unpaid invoices, deposits, vouchers, and vendor files in an orderly and logical manner, so as to facilitate audits, internal analysis and reviews of Health Center financial records. Assist internal personnel by producing requested reports and documentation of expenditures.</li>

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE: 
Strong commitment to CHCFC Mission. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse population and sensitivity to low-income populations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Skills: Advanced user of MS Excel, ability to record G/L transactions using computerized accounting system, strong mathematical proficiency, including the ability to conduct complex calculations. Understanding of internal accounting controls. Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team required.
Location: Attendance required during normal business hours at assigned CHCFC site(s). Standard work week is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.
