Job Description JOB TITLE: Accountant II

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Accountant II is responsible for supporting the financial operations of Future Form Manufacturing by maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits and budgets, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role follows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and supports continuous process improvement across financial functions.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

Essential

  • Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank, AP, AR, accruals, and fixed assets
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial statement preparation and supporting schedules
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling data, analyzing variances, and preparing reports
  • Review and process accounts payable and support timely vendor payments
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist with customer billing and collections
  • Prepare and file sales/use tax returns and support other compliance filings, including property taxes and business licenses
  • Reconcile and balance all receipts for the monthly business credit card reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of supporting documentation.
  • Assist with payroll review and related journal entries
  • Maintain fixed asset records
  • Support internal and external audit requests with timely and accurate documentation
  • Serve as a backup to the Controller as needed
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
  • Maintain organized workspaces and digital records in accordance with the company policy
  • All other duties as assigned

WORKS WITH: Future Form Manufacturing Team Members, Customers, and Vendors

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Follow all OSHA safety regulations and those set by Future Form Manufacturing

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2–4 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective written nd verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy

Beneficial

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Sit 75%, Stand 10%, Walk 10%, and Bend 5%. Maximum (minutes): Sit 240, Stand 15, Walk 10, and Bend 5. Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and normal hearing (with or without hearing aid enhancement).

Working Environment: Office environment, low noise level. Occasional exposure to shop environment with moderate noise level, exposure to dust, heat and cold.

This position will require drug testing per company policy.
