The Studio Stylist role is a creative role, responsible for executing the elevated look and feel of the Abercrombie &amp; Fitch brand. It will support the styling team on the e-commerce studio set, in stores, and be a key member on a collaborative team responsible for establishing a strong styling point of view for A&amp;F.&nbsp; They will report to the Sr. Styling Manager and partner with: Marketing (Creative/Art Direction), Visual, Design, and Merchandising to thread the brand styling perspective throughout each touchpoint.&nbsp; The Studio Stylist is an expert in industry trends and brings a unique point-of-view to styling a classic brand in a modern and commercial way that allows A&amp;F’s personality to shine through online and in-store.&nbsp;
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.&nbsp;&nbsp;
What Will You Be Doing?&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Manage women’s e-commerce studio and communication with studio production, AD and photography teams to ensure shot count and priority items are outfitted and captured by designated dates.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Manage and outfit daily e-commerce shoot rack. Assign looks by model and shoot day. Choreographing the sequence of looks for optimal efficiency and daily output. Reviewing with Sr. Styling Manager, AD, and Photographer prior to shooting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Partner with Sr. Styling Manager on the creation of studio looks supporting editorial marketing messages and overarching brand campaigns, presenting to leadership for each seasonal floorset and weekly updates.</li>
<li>Ensure all on-figure imagery showcases best fit, feels comfortable and is styled with confidence.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate to Merchant/Design team sample needs and fit issues.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Help lead and develop styling team within studio by providing clear role expectations, feedback and opportunities for growth, promoting a positive, efficient and safe work environment.</li>
<li>Work with AD, studio production and Sr. Styling Manager to scout new model talent and best talent to bring in weekly for e-commerce set for men and women.&nbsp; Provide fit and pertinent model feedback for AD and Sr. Styling Manager.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborate with Sr. Styling Manager to update brand styling guides as well as any necessary documentation in the styling division for men and women.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Support and engage in the styling workflow including, but not limited to; sample organization, steaming / prep, on-model shoot taskwork from setup to breakdown, in-store outfitting, mannequin dressing and digital documentation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Foster relationships with cross-functional teams and partners; with other creative and product facing departments (Design, Merchants, Planning, PCM and Inventory Management) to create the right presentations for our brands both online and in-store.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Be customer-centric and obsessive of the brand; spend time in-store/online as needed, following influencers and aspirational brands creating seasonal inspiration direction for team.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maximize the financial success of our brands by clearly showcasing trends and leveraging must-win / must-grow departments into styling / outfitting and highlighting these details to our customer.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintain an intimate understanding of the brand purpose, DNA and customer insights; stay up to date on e-commerce industry trends and other retail brands as they pertain to the A&amp;F’s competitive landscape.&nbsp;</li>

What Do You Need To Bring?&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Marketing, or related experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>7+ years of styling experience in a fast-paced cross-functional team&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience working in an iconic branded environment for a global brand</li>
<li>Strong women’s outfitting and on-set skills with a good understanding of fitting multiple body types&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience leading and collaborating within a creative marketing team in studio and on-location shoots&nbsp;</li>
<li>Excellent on-set styling acumen and experience on location, studio, and e-commerce shoots&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must be organized, self-motivated, and passionate about men’s and women’s styling and branding for e-commerce landscape</li>
<li>Must have strong communication skills: team-orientated, positive, proactive and business-savvy&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated, with ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities for self and others</li>

Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role
Work with the Director of Merchandising on the planning, development, and execution of an organization's merchandise strategy. This role involves analyzing market trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels. The goal is to maximize sales and profitability while ensuring that the merchandise aligns with the company's brand and customer expectations.
The strategic link between the product team and our cross functional partners in marketing, planning and sales. This is a hybrid role with a 3 day in office requirement in Carlsbad, CA. 
ACCOUNTABILITY: 
Assortment Planning
<ul>
<li>Participate in merchandising strategies and creation of seasonal assortment plans to build profitable assortments that will meet internal margin goals </li>
<li>Partner with Director of Merchandising on seasonal style line plan creation and maintenance including but not limited to style number creation, color codes, and product variable data coding for PLM system </li>
<li>Set and adjust pricing strategies to optimize sales and profitability, taking into account competitive pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics.</li>

ESSENTIAL SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in design, business, or marketing </li>
<li>Apparel merchandising/buying background required; contemporary menswear experience a plus, planning experience a plus </li>
<li>An understanding of the Outerknown brand and mission and how they translate to the collections at the e-commerce level </li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to set initiatives and deliver results while maintaining a positive attitude </li>
<li>Self-motivated and organized with a strong work ethic and ability to excel in a team environment </li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal </li>
<li>A keen eye for fashion and style and great attention to detail </li>
<li>Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel </li>
<li>Skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop) a plus </li>
