Working within a team, the Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for the acquisition, receipt, maintenance, and renewal of electronic resources for the library. The Electronic Resources Librarian resolves electronic access problems, performs regular cleanup of data, and maintains records related to the library’s e-resources. Reporting to the Senior Electronic Resources Librarian, the Electronic Resources Librarian routinely interacts with cataloging staff, collection development staff, vendors, and publishers. The Electronic Resources Librarian assists with other projects within the Technical Services Division as needed.

Electronic Resources Librarian

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.
The Director of Finance will sit as a non-voting member and serve as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors, which doubles as the Sacramento State Student Government. &nbsp;&nbsp;
The ASI Director of Finance serves as ASI administrator in charge in the absence of the Executive Director.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting 
<ul>
<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>
<li>Provides insight and education regarding ASI and CSU Sacramento budget and financial operations to the ASI Student Board of Directors, full-time staff, student-staff, campus partners and the student community at a level of their understanding.</li>
<li>Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements and 990 for ASI and the Union WELL.</li>
<li>Facilitates implementation of quality standards and priority criteria for service processes.</li>
<li>Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through assessment, staff training, and resource development. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with all internal controls and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency of operations and security of company assets.</li>
<li>Evaluates changes in policies, laws, and available resources for impacts and adjustments to related policies, procedures, and staff responsibilities.</li>

Montclair State University recently made an exciting announcement that it will receive a $5 million transformational gift that it will use to become an educational partner in the creation and operation of a museum and learning center at historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. This position is also responsible for managing the operations of the university in the president’s absence.
The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA oversees all of the academic schools at SOU and the services that support them, as well as the university’s portfolio of student support and success services. This leader is responsible for guiding academic and enrollment planning and shaping the student body through an institutional strategy for recruitment, admission, retention, advising and educational partnerships. Effective performance requires an in-depth understanding of the university’s mission and its various programs, and a commitment to work effectively within a shared decision-making environment (i.e., Faculty Senate, Staff Assembly, and the faculty union). Responsibilities:

<li>Lead Academic Affairs, establish and communicate a strong academic vision while promoting a culture of shared governance (40%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Academic Officer of SOU and provides leadership and robust support for the faculty, academic schools, and the library at SOU. <li>Lead Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (25%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Enrollment Officer responsible for the executive leadership, strategic planning, and administrative oversight for all operations and support functions associated with the recruitment, retention, and engagement of students. Duties include, but are not limited to: foster creative thinking that builds on SOU’s strong tradition as a student-centered institution; guide strategic efforts to address issues related to student development, health and wellness, success, equity, and retention; address issues related to the review, implementation, improvement, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and program-specific services; and oversee Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Admissions and Recruitment to ensure efficiency in operations that drive enrollment growth that aligns with institutional goals.</li>
<li>External Outreach (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA partners with the president to implement SOU’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic directions in a manner that realizes growth that enhances student learning opportunities and positively impacts financial and economic development. This position develops and cultivates public-private partnerships with local, regional, and statewide business and industry.</li>
<li>Accreditation (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA administers activities related to the accreditation and the external review of SOU and its schools, departments, and programs. This position ensures compliance with various academic disciplines and their respective accreditation agencies.</li>
<li>Budget &amp; Resources (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA designs effective budget models for Academic and Student Affairs. This position analyzes financial information to include revenues and expenditures to ensure all operations are within budget; develops long-range planning and budget priorities; and provides supervision, evaluation and professional development for administrative and support staff.</li>
<li>Other Duties as Assigned (5%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA performs other duties as assigned by the president, including but not limited to: participating or leading ad hoc and standing working and advisory committees; serving on search committees; and representing SOU at functions, panels, and events.</li>

The Assistant Dean for Career Planning and Professional Development provides leadership, management, and direct student and alumni services in the area of career services. This position oversees efforts to support JD students and alumni in obtaining employment, which is a high priority for the law school. Uses a learning-focused approach to academic advising. Effectively maintains accurate advisee records. Thoroughly evaluates and assesses cadet advising needs, makes recommendations and takes appropriate actions, and conducts follow-up to ensure those needs are met. Serves as the lead faculty advisor for a Cadet Wing Group. Initiates, directs and conducts a program of research in their field of specialization which contributes to the body of knowledge. Performs appropriate service-related functions, as required, in support of faculty academic departments and the overall educational mission. Responsible for recordkeeping, database, and budget management, as well as other administrative support duties as needed. &nbsp;Additionally, this person will report directly to the ASPIRE/McNair Scholars program director. &nbsp;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
<ol>
<li>Establishes and maintains a complex computerized system of files and records involving participant eligibility, demographic data, results of outcome objectives, and project contracts. Prepares written and statistical reports on student progress and outcomes as requested by the program director.</li>
<li>Maintains expenditure records by specific budget category. Creates and maintains computerized spreadsheets for budget monitoring and control. Reviews and verifies all computer printouts on program budget status prepared by SJSU Research Foundation accounting office.</li>
<li>Prepares quarterly budget reports and projected budget reports for the program director to monitor spending and the effective use of funds.</li>
<li>Assists the director in managing the program budgets and ensuring compliance with TRiO legislation and regulations as stated by the Department of Education.</li>
<li>Assists the director to ensure compliance in accordance with the grant contract with the U.S. Department of Education and SJSU Research Foundation policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Onboarding student staff and monitoring their daily tasks.</li>
<li>Clerical duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Coordinates office workflow and maintenance of files and records between ASPIRE and the McNair Scholars Programs.</li>
<li>Advises the director of any problem areas in handling office workflow, questions about program priorities, and suggestions for improving the efficient operation of the program office.</li>
<li>Arrange and coordinate travel and travel reimbursement for staff and participants of ASPIRE and McNair Programs.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Minimal. Provides training to student aids that work for ASPIRE and the McNair Scholars Programs. Assists with student’s time management and schedules. &nbsp;
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>Requires a minimum of an A.A. degree or equivalent. BA/S preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of 4-6 years related experience.</li>
<li>Preferably with an accounting background or strong knowledge of handling various budgets.</li>
<li>TRIO experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
<ul>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently in a culturally diverse setting.</li>
<li>PC experience including working knowledge of word processing, excel, and proficiency in interpreting database reporting and database management, bookkeeping and accounting.</li>
<li>Knowledge of office methods and procedures, particularly the handling of confidential student and personnel records.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain an efficient front operation with a strong service orientation to students.</li>
</ul>
 Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Works in standard office environment with desk, telephone, computer, bookshelves and file cabinets provided. Maintains office copier and fax machine.</li>
</ul>

<li>Works with minimal direction on all assigned projects.</li>
<li>Exercises independent judgment in developing effective and productive office workflow.</li>
<li>Works independently in maintaining both electronic and hard copy records on participants.</li>
