<li>Manage pick-ups and deliveries for furniture and other merchandise

<li>Communicate efficiently with all donors and customers</li>

<li>Manage recycling operations

<li>Operate baler to create textile and stuffed animal bales</li>
<li>Move bales to exterior containers for storage</li>
<li>Assist with movement of bales to wholesaler trucks</li>
<li>Move other recycled materials (metal, glass, furniture, etc.) through designated channels (to other recycling partners and centers)</li>
</ol>

<li>Operate Overflow equipment, including forklift and baler, in accordance with guidelines and annual training
<ol>
<li>Complete regular equipment safety checklists, as directed</li>
<li>Complete annual training, as directed</li>
<li>Report repair and equipment issues to Senior Operations Director</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Maintain truck and equipment
<ol>
<li>Complete monthly truck safety checklist</li>
<li>Partner with Senior OD to coordinate any regular or one-time maintenance on truck</li>
<li>Keep gas tank filled to at least half tank at all times</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Help process and stock inventory
<ol>
<li>Process incoming merchandise, including accepting items from donors, pricing items, stocking the sales floor at all store locations, and other items as requested</li>
<li>Process and stock furniture in collaboration with the Senior Operations Director and Store Operations Directors</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Serve as an ambassador to OTS volunteers - creating an environment of appreciation for our volunteers while supporting volunteers to achieve the OTS mission</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Collaborate with volunteers on assigned work priorities</li>
<li>Communicate with volunteers with kindness, respect and appreciation</li>
<li>Participate in planned volunteer trainings, groups, and appreciation as scheduled</li>
<li>Utilize training and pricing guides for volunteer onboarding, as directed</li>

Position Requirements

<li>Ability to independently lift 51 pounds and 100+ pounds in a team lift occasionally</li>
<li>Maintain a clear driving record with no moving violations</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous standing, bending, carrying, squatting, pulling, and pushing

<li>This is a physically-active role - Manager should expect to be standing and moving 95% of their shifts. The work includes moving furniture and heavy carts, cleaning merchandise, assembling small furniture, fixtures and equipment, moving boxes and merchandise repeatedly, pushing heavy carts, moving displays, etc.</li>

<li>Ability to work outside for brief periods in all weather on a variety of tasks such as assisting donors as they remove items from their vehicles, removing trash from the store to exterior dumpsters, helping customers with furniture pick-ups, light shoveling of snow from sidewalks, tidying building exteriors by picking up trash, etc.</li>

Job Description:
Mackin Engineers &amp; Consultants is seeking a qualified Transportation Construction Inspector 1 (TCI-1) in our Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction inspection, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li> Perform roadway inspection in accordance with project requirements, plans, and specifications, such as grade elevations, stakeout of roadway and structure, bituminous or concrete, drainage, signing, traffic control devises, and excavation. </li>
<li> Monitor contractor progress to ensure compliance with contract requirements and cost estimates. </li>
<li> Conduct field inspections to assess work quality, materials used, and adherence to safety regulations. </li>
<li> Document and report any discrepancies, non-compliance issues, or deviations from project plans. </li>
<li> Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address construction challenges and ensure timely project completion. </li>
<li> Maintain accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and test results.</li>
<li> Communicate effectively with contractors, project team members, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and ensure project success.</li>
<li> Assist in the review and interpretation of project plans, specifications, and contract documents.</li>
<li> Participate in meetings, site visits, and project discussions as required. </li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li> Minium of 1 year of experience in construction inspection or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred. Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, Municipal, and/or water line/sewer line projects desired. </li>
<li> High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field preferred, but not required.</li>
<li> Knowledge of Deltek Ajera, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and familiarity using Computers, Printers, and Electronics.</li>
<li> Familiarity with construction contracts, plans, and specifications. </li>
<li> Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report issues accurately. </li>
<li> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li> Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.</li>
<li> Experience with Electronic Construction Management System (ECMS) and PennDOT Project Collaboration Center (PPCC) preferred, but not required. </li>
<li> Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.</li>
