Summary: The Pilot – Captain reports directly to the Chief Pilot, has the final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of a flight and operates company aircraft following company policies, procedures, and the Federal Aviation regulations. You will also complete other non-flying duties assigned by the Chief Pilot as they relate to the smooth operation of the department in support of flight operations.
As a team member, you are adept at building positive relationships with vendors and customers and across multiple departments, working collaboratively to grow sales, improve business performance, and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Carry out pre-flight planning (weather, aircraft performance, weight and balance, Notice to Airmen, and flight plans), customs procedures for international flights, perform pre-flight inspections of the aircraft, conduct safety briefings, execute the flight safely and proficiently, conduct a post-flight of the aircraft, and relay any maintenance issues to the Chief Pilot.</li>
<li>Train, study, and know: the federal regulations on relevant flight operations, aircraft systems, normal and emergency operating procedures, aircraft surface&nbsp;contamination and cold weather operations, high altitude operations, crew resource management, and international operations as applicable.</li>
<li>Provide excellent service to passengers, clients, and guests, including greeting the passengers, assisting with their luggage and any other special needs, and briefing passengers on the safety equipment and amenities available on the aircraft.</li>
<li>Carry out other non-flying duties, including travel arrangements for the crew and/or passengers, servicing the aircraft, database updates, aircraft cleaning, and keeping the aircraft, medical and emergency kits, and stores stocked and up to date.</li>
<li>Maintain a current commercial pilot’s license or better, second class medical certification or better, and provide all requested documentation before beginning employment to meet FAA, state, and company insurance requirements and regulations and any other applicable codes or requirements for acting as a pilot on Pacific’s part. All pilot requirements before employment are the financial responsibility of the pilot. </li>
<li>Abide by Pacific’s drug and alcohol policy and consume no alcoholic beverage within eight hours of flying an aircraft.</li>
<li>Follow and enforce good safety practices.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
<ul>
<li>Read, write and speak the English language (ICAO Operational Level 4).</li>
<li>Hold a Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate or better.</li>
<li>Hold a valid US Passport.</li>
<li>Hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot or FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Land Rating with Instrument Privileges.</li>
<li>Hold a PIC Type Rating for G280 and/or LR-60 (Learjet 60).</li>

General Description
The successful candidate joins a group of three pilots serving as Pilot-in-Command with responsibility for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. They supervise the flight crew and ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations and Pentastar Aviation’s 91 FOM. The candidate must work as a team member in a crew environment, be safety-oriented, possess strong leadership and CRM skills and embody superior customer service. They are responsible for all aspects of flight planning and decision making regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. When not flying, they may perform other general department duties.
 
As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 250 hours per year. The client generally gives at least 48 hours’ notice prior to trips.
 
Qualifications
· US FAA ATP Certificate
· Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA First Class medical certification
· Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time
· Large cabin Gulfstream experience required
· Current and qualified or prior experience with GIV type rating preferred
