Coordinate international shipments from start to finish. This includes for standard orders: confirming booking, vessel routing, transit time, and quote no less than two weeks before expected pick up date. Expedited shipments should be processed based on instruction.

Provide accurate paperwork including packing slips to shippers and receivers. Verify that Vendor paperwork is not received by customers.

Notify supervisors and related sales team of any orders that are delayed in shipping or delayed in delivering as soon as notified by Freight Forwarder. Communicate the schedule impact of delay and provide alternate shipping rates and routings that may include expedited shipping to the internal team. Follow up until a clear course of action is given.

Refer orders to the OPS Director which need to be processed for damage claims and include all required documentation.

Approve of freight bills based on a cross referencing of budget &amp; quote vs actual. Submit all approved bills to accounting during the month in which they are received and within no more than one week of receipt. Follow up on contested bills until resolved.

As the Veteran Transport Specialist, you will receive an adjustable weekly base pay of $200 for on-call services, plus an hourly wage on actual hours worked. This position is part-time, and flexibility is available. The Transportation Specialist reports to the Transportation Manager and is responsible for many duties, including but not limited to:

Transporting Veterans to medical appointments.
</li>
<li>
Providing assistance to passengers to ensure safe boarding and disembarking of the vehicle.
</li>
<li>
Reporting any concerns or mentioned needs, in a timely manner, to the Support Services Manager for follow-up and referral services.
</li>
<li>
Monitoring and scheduling vehicle maintenance and managing transportation logs and receipts.
</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
<ul>
<li>Must hold a valid Montana driver's license or US driver’s license with the ability to attain a Montana license within 60 days of hire and successfully complete a driver's history check.</li>
<li>Must successfully complete CPR and Narcan training within 6-months of hire.</li>
<li>
Benefits include SEP retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
</li>
<li>Health insurance is not covered.</li>
<li>
Successful applicants are subject to drug testing, and criminal history checks. Criminal history checks will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and we encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Ability to change a flat tire.
</li>

Ability to carry client belongings to and from the vehicle (ex. Wheelchair, luggage, oxygen tanks, etc.). Lifting requirement up to 50 pounds.
</li>
<li>
Ability to escort clients with limited mobility to and from, and in and out of the vehicle.
</li>
<li>
Ability to drive during inclement weather conditions.
</li>
<li>
Occasional overnight travel is required.
</li>
