Job Summary:
The Operations Manager shall oversee daily operations. The Operations Manager shall assist in promoting and maintaining the terminal structure and standards of operations as prescribed by leadership.

Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Proactively address safety concerns by:
<ul>
<li>Communicating safety goals and standards to Fleet Management</li>
<li>Provide resources for safety concern resolution</li>
<li>Regular reviews of terminal “safety health"</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Ensure Fleet and Fleet Management are in compliance in the following areas:
<ul>
<li>Driver fitness (DOT physical)</li>
<li>Driver documents (license, annual review, etc.)</li>
<li>Hours of Service</li>
<li>Assist in facilitating random driver testing as needed</li>
<li>Personal protective equipment (PPE)</li>
</ul>

<li>Partner with Fleet Management to offer the highest level of driver satisfaction in the industry. Retention goals to be set and measured by Senior Cowan Management</li>
<li>Partner with leadership and customer to provide high level customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>The Operations Manager is responsible for all terminal expirations, and coordination between various departments and Fleet Management</li>
<li>Maintain proper level of terminal operations staffing (schedules/coverage of work load)</li>
<li>Driver master schedule development and maintenance</li>
<li>Oversight of the Fleet planning and plan execution</li>
<li>Provide Fleet Management with updated special load requirements as dictated by the customer</li>
<li>Monitor and measure assessorial charges collected/missed. Address with Fleet Management as needed.</li>
<li>Daily review of Cowan Connect standards by Fleet. Areas of focus:

<li>30-minute compliance</li>
<li>Late reason coding</li>
<li>Detention notes/collection</li>
</ul>

<li>Coach and counsel your Fleet Management team in the following areas (subject to Terminal Manager approval)

<li>Cowan Connect performance of Fleet Management</li>
<li>Customer care and service</li>
<li>Develop Fleet Management performance improvement plans as needed, in partnership with leadership</li>

<li>Tractor/trailer PM scheduling</li>
<li>Equipment moves/positioning</li>
<li>Rental equipment tracking and management</li>

<li>Quarterly review of Terminal performance with leadership.</li>
<li>Review revenue per truck per day with leadership. Identify areas of opportunity (BH lanes, empty miles, etc). Develop improvement plan as needed with leadership. Execute plans with Fleet Management.</li>
<li>Review OTR miles and local pay, ensuring efficiency, utilization and driver compensation goals</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned at Senior Management discretion</li>

Job Requirements:

<li>3-5 years’ industry experience</li>
<li>1-3 years’ direct report management experience</li>
<li>TMS experience required. TMW preferred.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of DOT regulations</li>

<li>Ability to work off hours as dictated by the business</li>

Qualifications

Job Summary:
The Dispatch Manager is responsible for the successful execution of customer freight delivery and the daily oversight and management of their assigned fleet. This is a leadership position that reports to the Operations Manager or the Terminal Manager, depending on the size of the operation. The Dispatch Manager will participate in; problem identification, solution recognition, and system implementation to improve areas that impact our drivers experience and the quality of our services. Job Duties:
Driver &amp; Terminal Connect
<ul>
<li>Effectively dispatch a fleet using proper procedures for real time management of freight and drivers ensuring high level of data accuracy within the system.</li>
<li>Maintain highest driver relationship and satisfaction of new and tenured drivers by:</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Actively onboarding new drivers following the 12 week onboarding process</li>
<li>Regularly reviewing driver scorecards in order to ensure drivers are meeting performance and income goals</li>
<li>Auditing driver manifests for pay accuracy and workload balance</li>
<li>Advocate for driver in relation to executable plans</li>
<li>Effectively communicate policy changes, schedule changes, etc. to the fleet.</li>
<li>Participate in driver mentoring and driver appreciation activities as prescribed by the Terminal Manager</li>
<li>Oversee fleet of drivers ensuring all team members are properly trained in all aspects of their position. Coach where performance improvement is needed in accordance and notify Terminal Manager or Operations Manager when there is a need for corrective action or formal performance improvement plans to address deficiencies.</li>
<li>Participate in pre-trip inspections with drivers on a regular basis.</li>

<li>Coach and counsel your Fleet in the areas of; productivity, customer care and service, attendance, and company rules. Develop driver performance improvement plans in coordination with HR and the Terminal Manager as needed.</li>
<li>Confirm driver plans with drivers (Via Qualcomm and or phone) providing driver with any required information to complete the assignment including special load requirements (Hazmat, specialty equipment, etc.)</li>

Safety Connect

<li>Promote culture of safety in all daily activities by proactively address safety concerns by communicating safety goals and standards to all drivers, providing resources for safety concern resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Fleet is in compliance with DOT requirements for hours of service and driver fitness before dispatch. Assist in coordination of compliance activities including the scheduling of physicals and submission of required documentation.</li>

Customer Connect
<ul>
<li>Monitor driver progress throughout the shift to ensure on time dispatch and delivery of freight as planned, addressing and notifying the customer of any delays or issues.</li>
<li>Address all customer needs and concerns as they arise during shift and escalating any customer issues requiring a higher level of involvement to the Operations Manager or Terminal Manager.</li>
<li>Collect and inspect driver manifest and other necessary documentation necessary to pay the driver and invoice the customer upon the completion of each driver shift to include bill of ladings and lumper receipts.</li>
</ul>
Maintenance Assessorial Connect
<ul>
<li>Maintain, track, and report appropriate equipment levels daily at all customer locations. Based on need requesting adjustments where necessary to ensure optimum equipment utilization.</li>
<li>Perform periodic inspections of company equipment to identify unreported maintenance issues and accident damage. Participate in pre-trip inspections with drivers on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Review revenue per truck per day and perform quarterly fleet performance reviews with Terminal Manager and Operations Manager to identify areas of opportunity and develop improvement plan as needed to address deficiencies.</li>

Since 1989, ACS has provided control systems integration, design engineering and technical services for PLC, DCS and SCADA systems for industrial and environmental applications. We utilize a wide variety of automation and electrical control platforms including Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Emerson and GE. We are certified for UL-508A and 698A control panel design and fabrication.
Electrical Designer - Industrial Control Panels
We're seeking an experienced and motivated&nbsp;Electrical Control Panel Designer&nbsp;to join our engineering team, specializing in projects for industrial automation and control panels and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial control panel design and a thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Perform detailed electrical control panel design for industrial manufacturing and process control systems.</li>
<li>Develop industrial control panel design drawings including mechanical panel layout, Bill of Materials, power distribution and I/O wring, in compliance with NEC, UL-508A/698A codes.</li>
<li>Preparation of motor control circuits and variable frequency drive power and control wiring drawings.</li>
