Job Summary and Qualifications

<li>Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures</li>
<li>Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis</li>
<li>Performs test in-patients and out-patients</li>
<li>Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment</li>
<li>Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice</li>
<li>Demonstrates industry in radiation safety</li>
<li>Check patient charts for needed exam and tests.</li>
<li>Prepare patients for exams – administers pre-medication, radioactive isotopes and transfers patient to examining table.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Scan the patient – making proper settings on the gamma camera.&nbsp;</li>

What Qualifications You Will Need:&nbsp;

<li>CPR required&nbsp;</li>
<li>State Registered Radiologic Technician&nbsp;</li>
<li>Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program&nbsp;</li>
<li>Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)&nbsp;</li>
<li>1 year of experience preferred, but not required&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period&nbsp;</li>

Required qualifications:

<li>Coursework/Training: Completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program.</li>
<li>California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire</li>
<li>National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.</li>
<li>National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.</li>
<li>2 years of experience in ambulatory or acute cardiac setting.</li>
