About the role
We are seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician with hands-on compounding experience to support a growing pharmacy operation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who takes pride in precision, cleanliness, and consistency and who thrives in a structured, quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare non-sterile and/or sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and label compounds according to SOPs
- Maintain a clean, compliant compounding environment
- Follow USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines and safety procedures
- Complete batch records and compounding documentation
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation
- Support quality assurance processes and internal audits
Requirements
Required
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT or state equivalent)
- 2+ years of hands-on compounding experience
- Familiarity with USP <795> (and <797>/<800> if applicable)
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience in high-volume compounding pharmacies
- Sterile compounding experience
- Experience working with hormone, dermatologic, or specialty compounds
