Senior Philanthropic Gift Officer

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Director of Institutional Partnerships will work in partnership with the Chief Development Officer to manage the relationships and revenue in the areas of corporate, foundation, and government fundraising. The Director of Institutional Partnerships shall directly supervise the Associate Director of Institutional Communications and Institutional Partnerships Specialist. The Director of Institutional Partnerships will focus on strategies and tactics that increase philanthropic support and specifically lead approaches that will ambitiously grow corporate, foundation, government, and special event revenue, both for annual support and campaign support.
Qualifications:

<li>At least 5 years of front-line fundraising experience, with a strong focus on corporate fundraising and partnerships</li>

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Directly supervise the Corporate Giving and Foundation/Government Relations functions, with the goal of substantially growing philanthropic revenue from each area. Lead each team's work with existing funders and enhance efforts to prospect, qualify, and effectively engage a growing pipeline of new donors. Build a strong, collaborative, and productive team that shares in successes and works together to solve challenges. Currently, the combined revenue targets is $2-$3M, with an expectation that these revenue targets will grow over time.</li>
<li>Serve as a senior leader of the Development Department, collaborating with Chief Development Officer, Director of Strategic Philanthropy, and Director of Operations and Events to ensure comprehensive success of Arena's fundraising goals. </li>
<li>Develop and implement approaches that build, track, and monitor a growing number of prospects in the pipelines and build revenue opportunities to support our fundraising goals.</li>
<li>Closely track donor requirements, including reporting, compliance, financial management, programmatic deliverables, activation, and benefit fulfilment. Lead the team in providing frequent, tailored and professional updates to funders. </li>
<li>Lead and monitor team efforts to draft and finalize letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and corporate solicitation decks ensuring that proposals, budgets, and other materials are aligned with donor requirements and tailored to meet their priorities. Collaborate effectively with other departments at Arena Stage on proposal content.</li>
<li>Actively manage a portfolio of 30+ high-level institutional donors and prospects (mainly corporations). </li>
<li>Professionally support leadership staff and volunteers who may serve as ambassadors, door openers, relationship builders, and solicitors for Arena Stage.</li>
<li>Ensure that all giving data, strategies, gifts, correspondence, etc. is appropriately recorded and is consistent with departmental guidelines.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Monell is located in the heart of the vibrant educational and life sciences hub of Philadelphia. 
The Program Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Monell administration, including Monell Insiders, Philanthropy and Government Relations, Academic Affairs, and more. The Program Specialist provides essential support for both events and data management. Responsibilities include data entry and maintenance, ensuring accuracy and integrity, as well as tracking key metrics to support reporting, evaluation, and follow-up efforts. In addition, the Program Specialist supports event logistics and planning—setting up seminar rooms, coordinating catering, managing RSVPs and registration, and assisting with receptions, corporate events, government meetings, academic symposiums, and fundraising activities.
Up to 20% of the Program Specialist’s effort will be dedicated to general organizational support, including ordering supplies.
