Job DescriptionAbout Us:
One Hospitality is the parent company of Standard Hall, Annex, Live, Short North Pint House, Forno and our newest location Astra at the Rooftop of the A/C Hotel.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to::
<ul>
<li>Support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations</li>
<li>Manage daily food preparation and service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Supervise and lead kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards set forth by Culinary team</li>
<li>Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation in alignment with brand standards</li>
<li>Assist with menu planning, development, and execution of specials and seasonal offerings</li>
<li>Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste through effective kitchen management</li>
<li>Ensure kitchen safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with local health regulations</li>
<li>Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff; foster a positive and professional work environment</li>
<li>Step in for the Executive Chef in their absence to maintain seamless operations</li>
<li>Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with team members and ensure high productivity is a main focus</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Culinary degree or equivalent professional training strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team</li>
<li>Excellent culinary skills with a creative and quality-focused mindset</li>
<li>Proficient in kitchen operations, inventory management, and food costing</li>
<li>Deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays</li>
<li>Team motivator leads by example and promotes accountability</li>
