Job Responsibilities for a Occupational Therapist:
<ul>
<li>Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.</li>
<li>Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.</li>
<li>Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.</li>
<li>Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.</li>
<li>Prepare progress reports as indicated.</li>
<li>Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.</li>
</ul>
Requirements for a Occupational Therapist:
<ul>
<li>Must have a passion for working with children and families!</li>
<li>NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist</li>
<li>1-2 years of experience working with children birth5 is preferred but not necessary</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.</li>
<li>Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:</li>
<li>Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.</li>
<li>The ability to ascend and descend staircases.</li>
<li>The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.</li>
<li>The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.</li>
</ul>
Starting Rate: Evaluations $135.00 - $190.00/ hourly$63.00-$86.00 Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theOccupational TherapistJob interview process.
