• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room. • Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process • Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent / hazardous situations. • Provides timely follow up regarding lab and x-ray results. • Executes follow-up calls with sense of urgency. • Assists front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary. • Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate. • Assists with patient transfers. • Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider. • Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of the provider. • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques. • Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or provider on duty. • Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit. • Maintains examination room and stocks if necessary. • Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies. • Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a provider.

JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech or Radiology Tech will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files and providing support to patients and medical staff.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room. • Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process • Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent / hazardous situations. • Provides timely follow up regarding lab and x-ray results. • Executes follow-up calls with sense of urgency. • Assists front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary. • Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate. • Assists with patient transfers. • Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider. • Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of the provider. • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques. • Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Regional Operation Manager or provider on duty. • Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit. • Maintains examination room and stocks if necessary. • Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies. • Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a provider.

The Medical Assistant is a vital part of the OHS program as a whole and will be required to perform other technician duties as requested by management to ensure safe and effective medical services to HASC/Global Health customers.
Essential Job Responsibilities

<li>Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment, which includes but not limited to the x-ray machine, medical tools and equipment, respirator fit machines, pulmonary function machines, audiometry machines, audio fit testing machines, functional capacity machines, and breath alcohol machines.</li>
<li>Calibrate all equipment at the beginning of each day in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Additional calibrations may be required at other times according to the manufacturer's specifications.</li>
<li>Conduct periodic surveys of equipment and stations so that all safety and hygiene hazards to customers and FCE Technicians are identified and corrected.</li>
<li>Complete all the administrative steps applicable to the equipment so that all required information is verified and properly recorded.</li>
<li>Administer respirator fit tests in full compliance with CFR 1910.134 Respiratory protection Standard.</li>
<li>Maintain and develop customer relationships by responding to questions, concerns, and requests from customers with speed and professionalism.</li>
<li>Thoroughly disinfect and inspect each respirator upon completion of each test.</li>
<li>Ensure all customer data and paperwork is kept confidential at all times.</li>
<li>Facilitate medical patients' vital signs, triage, room placement, etc.</li>
<li>Keep up to date with relevant safety topics, software and lecture, and online training technology</li>
<li>Attend and successfully pass a week-long certifying course in NIOSH and CAOCH</li>
<li>Attend and successfully pass all required drug and alcohol testing courses</li>
<li>Strive to maintain personal drug testing procedures that are flawless- undergo mandated remediation within 30 days of error notification.</li>
<li>Respond to after-hour calls as needed.</li>
<li>Promptly communicate with the radiology vendor to ensure quick x-ray reporting.</li>
<li>Facilitate State Radiologic inspections (x-ray technicians only)</li>
