About the role: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Nuclear Power Plant Operations Instructor to join our training team. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining training programs for licensed and non-licensed plant operators in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The instructor ensures operational excellence and safety through effective classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job training.
Responsibilities:

<li>Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs based on the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) model.</li>

<li>Operate and maintain the simulator for training scenarios, drills, and evaluations.</li>

Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, nuclear technology, or related field.</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in nuclear power plant operations, including licensed RO or SRO experience.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of NRC regulations and INPO guidelines related to operator training.</li>
<li>Proficiency in the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).</li>
<li>Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Current or previous SRO license or certification.</li>

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

Job Description
Overview We are seeking a full-time, in-person Lead SRO Instructor to join our team at a BWR nuclear facility. This position focuses on the delivery of high-quality instruction for Initial License Class (ILC) students pursuing a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Reactor Operator licenses. In order to qualify for the lead position individual must be previous licensed with supervisory experience beyond STA / work controls OR have atleast 3 years certified SRO instruction experience. This is a permanent staff position offering long-term career stability, collaboration with a dedicated team, and the opportunity to shape the next generation of licensed operators.
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Deliver engaging, classroom-based instruction to ILC students in accordance with SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) and ADDIE principles. This is Primarily a teaching job with some contractor oversight.</li>

Job Summary while in training to obtain an NRC License
The initial license trainee will engage in a combination of classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job experience, to acquire the essential skill and knowledge to meet the qualification for a Senior Reactor Operator License holder. &nbsp;Upon completion of the qualification the candidate will be fully licensed by the NRC to supervise the operations of the reactor control room.
