We are looking for enthusiastic Merchandisers to work in big box retail stores, handling live plants shipped on delivery racks. Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Stock and display fresh plant material in garden centers.</li>
<li>Unload plants from delivery racks and set up displays.</li>
<li>Maintain a sales-ready appearance for all plants and displays.</li>
<li>Cull and dispose of non-sellable plants.</li>
<li>Perform inventory cycle counts and adjustments.</li>
<li>Assist with resets, building displays, and special events.</li>
<li>Keep work areas clean and safe.</li>
<li>Use tools such as pallet jacks, pruners, ladders, and more.</li>
<li>Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.</li>
<li>Work and communicate cooperatively with coworkers, vendors and retail associates.</li>
<li>Report to work on time and follow the given schedule.</li>

Key Responsibilities

<li>Build and maintain product displays, ensuring shelves, coolers, and floor placements are fully stocked and visually appealing.</li>
<li>Rotate products to ensure freshness and manage inventory levels according to company standards.</li>
<li>Ensure all products are accurately priced and labeled.</li>
<li>Execute planograms, promotional materials, and seasonal display programs.</li>
<li>Partner with Account Managers to support sales goals and promotional activities.</li>
<li>Develop strong working relationships with store personnel to ensure premium in-store execution and timely resolution of any issues.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance in all accounts.</li>
<li>Communicate inventory and merchandising needs to the appropriate team members.</li>
<li>Safely operate company vehicle in accordance with company policy.</li>
<li>Represent the company and its brands with professionalism, pride, and a focus on customer service.</li>
<li>Early morning start times, weekends and holidays may be required depending on account needs.</li>
<li>This is a full-time position with daily local travel between accounts.</li>

Qualifications

<li>High school diploma or GED equivalent required</li>
<li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with clean driving record</li>
<li>Prior merchandising or retail experience preferred</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow visual merchandising standards</li>
<li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills</li>
<li>Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements: This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products up to 150 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. With just a few acres, Green Circle Growers began selling to other companies like variety stores, lumber yards, hardware stores, and grocery stores. Today, Green Circle Growers is still owned and operated by the van Wingerden family and has grown to over 170 acres of indoor growing space. Our state-of-the-art greenhouses offer many different environments to keep up with the demanding mix of products that today’s market expects. We now provide plants to regional and national stores across the United States and Canada. We are able to market and offer broad products to mass merchants, as well as to growers. The retail market expects the full line of annuals in flats, containers, and baskets. The grower line produces pre-finished containers, plugs, and liners.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
 
The Merchandiser is a dedicated and dependent individual who maintains the merchandising, presentation, and maintenance of live plant products within a retail environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality and visual appeal while maintaining strong partnerships with store management and Green Circle Growers. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a physically active and fast-paced setting. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
 
JOB DUTIES:
 
Display, price, and handle upkeep of all annuals, perennials, and houseplants within the designated store space
Handle product disposal as required to maintain standards
Foster strong relationships with store management and associates to ensure effective collaboration
Coordinate with Green Circle Growers’ management to address and resolve any issues that arise
All other duties as assigned
