Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. The qualified candidate will become the Division Head of Hematopathology, CAP/CLIA director of the Hematopathology Laboratory and Quality Director of the Clinical Trials/Developmental Hematopathology subdivision. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate. Description The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking one (1) full-time pathologist for appointment to join our Hematopathology Division on the School of Medicine’s clinician-teacher pathway. Clinical responsibilities will include reporting of morphology for lymph nodes, tissues, bloods and marrows, as well as flow cytometry (diagnostic and minimal residual disease testing) and may include molecular diagnostic testing, hemoglobin electrophoresis and coagulation reporting, depending on the interests of the candidate. Educational activities include teaching hematology / hematopathology to students, technologists, residents and fellows. &nbsp;Applicants are expected to be involved in administrative aspects of the lab, including new test development, and develop an area of focused research / scholarly work.&nbsp;
This is a full-time, 12-month service period (July 1 – June 30) position and remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2024 but is flexible.
This appointment may be at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor, without tenure due to reasons of funding. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors: $18,170 to $21,807 per month ($218,039 to $261,688 annually); Associate Professors: $21,903 to $25,696 per month ($262,831 to $308,357 annually); Professors: $26,023 to $31,796 per month ($312,274 to $381,547 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate and Full Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Purpose: The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Santa Clara University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2024. TEACHING 1. Purpose: 
The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. SCU is on the quarter system and faculty are expected to teach 6 courses per year (2 each quarter), assuming they are engaged in an active scholarship program.

We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the potential for excellent, innovative undergraduate teaching and mentoring, and a willingness to support student research. The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. This includes supporting CEPS administrative leaders in equity-focused program assessment and accreditation, culturally responsive curriculum and program development, cultivation of business and community partnerships, and strategic management of course offerings and scheduling for the college. The Associate Dean also has an important role in facilitating the implementation of policies and procedures related to the college and the university. The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;
Job Duties Support for the Dean: -&nbsp;Collaborate with the Dean on planning college strategic initiatives, participate in college fundraising, and coordinate implementation of CEPS strategic priorities. -&nbsp;Provide CEPS administrative leaders support in areas of culturally responsive curriculum development, equity-focused institutional assessment and improvement, human resource management, faculty/staff development and performance evaluations, and budget and finance. -&nbsp;Support the Dean in decision-making, information gathering, report draft preparation, meeting attendance, and follow-through on matters assigned to the chairs and interdisciplinary program directors. -&nbsp;Collaborate with the other Associate Deans. -&nbsp;Collaborate to ensure program quality and effectiveness and to promote student learning, student satisfaction, and student retention in all student populations. -&nbsp;Attend Associate Deans and Academic Affairs meetings. -&nbsp;Act in the Dean’s absence.
Academic Programs and Curricular Management: -&nbsp;Provide strategic management of general education, graduate education, and major program and course offerings, as well as new program development. -&nbsp;Assist with CurricuLog approval changes. -&nbsp;Review and approve course schedules. -&nbsp;Attend Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee meetings. -&nbsp;Support collaboration across units with graduate education and research, including grant proposals. -&nbsp;Provide consultations and advocacy for student concerns.
Communications/Community/College: -&nbsp;Work closely with the Dean, the Director of Development, and the Alumni Relations Coordinator to assist in program development activities and newsletter articles. - Encourage and support business, industry, and community partnerships. -&nbsp;Assist with media relations pertaining to CEPS programs. -&nbsp;Interact with faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, other University constituencies, and outside agencies.

Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of inclusion and equity issues within a residential liberal arts environment Collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to benefit the success of students, colleagues, and initiatives. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. Experience with culturally responsive curriculum development and with assessment of programmatic, general education, and course-level outcomes for accreditation. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Excellent relationship building skills and initiative and enjoy working with minimal supervision in a dynamic, collaborative academic atmosphere.
