Position Overview
As a Contract Physical Therapist at Pediatric Health Choice, you will work hands-on with children to assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy services that promote mobility, function, and developmental progress. You’ll collaborate with nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and families to support each child’s holistic growth and health.

What You’ll Do:

<li>Current Board Certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.</li>
<li>5+ years of adult inpatient clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (e.g. inpatient unit or emergency department) sufficient to enable medical judgments regarding appropriateness of inpatient care, medical necessity, and post-acute care determinations.</li>
<li>In addition, 3+ years of prior experience in a formal or informal administrative leadership role in a healthcare environment such as a managed care organization, large clinical practice group, hospital system, or other healthcare organization. Proven track record in effective leadership demonstrated by team building, coaching, development, and decision-making skills and proven ability to foster an empowered team environment.</li>

What you will do as a Sr Medical Director - Utilization Management:
a. Demonstrate ownership of overall effectiveness and efficiency of UM process and outcomes in close partnership with Director, UM in Health Services. b. Demonstrate deep expertise in delivering UM inpatient and outpatient decisions, especially on complex cases.&nbsp; Ensure that decisions are consistent with Wellmark’s contractual definition of medical necessity based on (a) high quality clinical evidence; (b) sound clinical reasoning in areas of where the evidence is not definitive; and (c) review of clinical documents submitted by the requesting provider. c. Provide leadership and day-to-day management of financial and human resources, primarily focusing on employee and leader coaching, development, performance improvement, coordination and budgeting for multiple staff, and department specific functions/services. Train and mentor physician team as needed and facilitate ongoing team-based learning within physician UM team using weekly case review rounds as a central two-way learning opportunity (i.e., everyone learns from each other on a team). Ensure that efficient and effective performance of UM physician team as evidenced through meaningful metrics that are tied to key business outcomes for quality, affordability and experience. d. Responsible to perform oversight of independent review organization appeals and ensure effectiveness of end-to-end process for medical appeals in close partnership with nursing leader of appeals process. e. Responsible for providing exemplary engagement on peer-to-peer calls and escalated UM cases. Consult with stakeholders as needed to ensure that UM decision-making is holistic and consistent with Wellmark’s contractual definition of medical necessity. Effectively engage with external physicians, health care facility UM leadership, and other stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Wellmark’s UM program. f. Responsible for oversight of delegated specialty UM vendor clinical decision-making. Audit UM decisions to ensure compliance with Wellmark’s contractual definition of medical necessity. Resolve issues that are identified through auditing, monitoring and feedback. Address root cause and ensure corrective action implemented and audited. g. Partners with and demonstrate effectiveness with Wellmark’s Business Analytics team to drive each component of product development/new total cost of care (TCOC) initiatives to reduce overuse using the below model. We use the Product Operating Model, and the core concept related to reducing overuse is: (a) use data to identify actionable overuse opportunities; (b) apply industry experience to identify and validate proposed interventions; (c) build a business case to articulate the impact; and (d) work through implementation to secure the result through measurable outcomes (i.e. Funnel, Reviewing, Analyzing, Ready, Implementing MVP, Implementing Persevere, Value Realization/Closed, etc.). h. Job Description 
Led by the community's Health and Wellness Director (RN), our Wellness Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct nursing care to the Residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness. They also help supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by care staff of Certified Nursing Assistants.&nbsp;
Schedule: The Wellness Nurse (LPN) is a full-time (at least 30 hours per week) and/or&nbsp;part-time (22-29 hours per week) -&nbsp;All Shifts Available. 
Salary Range: $32.00 - $36.00 Hourly
Responsibilities and Duties
<ul>
<li>Monitors the health, safety, and well-being of all residents</li>
<li>Assisting in training and monitoring of medication administration</li>
<li>Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies</li>
<li>Maintaining clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state and local standards</li>
<li>Promote the highest degree of service to our residents while leading and demonstrating the mission of the company</li>
<li>Conduct thorough resident assessments</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, with current LPN license</li>
<li>At least 2 years’ experience with long-term care, assisted living, home health or hospital setting preferred</li>
<li>Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks</li>
<li>Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and of nursing practices, techniques and methods applied to health and wellness resident</li>
<li>Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications</li>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.</li>
<li>An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.</li>

About the Role:
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services focused on addiction treatment and recovery. This position involves providing direct patient care, monitoring patient progress, and administering treatments in accordance with established medical protocols. The RN will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that individuals receive compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to develop and implement effective care plans that promote healing and long-term recovery. Ultimately, the RN contributes to improving patient outcomes by combining clinical expertise with patient education and support throughout the recovery journey.
Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state or jurisdiction.</li>
<li>Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).</li>
<li>Experience in medical/surgical nursing or addiction treatment settings.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of patient care standards, safety protocols, and clinical documentation.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:

<li>Certification in Addiction Nursing (e.g., Certified Addictions Registered Nurse - CARN).</li>
<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li>
<li>Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing patients with complex medical needs.</li>
<li>Advanced certifications such as Nurse Practitioner (NP) credentials.</li>
<li>Training in patient advocacy and education techniques specific to addiction recovery.</li>
<li>Experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare teams within addiction recovery programs.</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing addiction treatment and recovery, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status.</li>
