Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a medical provider at the David C. Wynecoop Memorial Health Center and will provide care for acute and chronic medical conditions within their scope of practice.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provides medical screenings, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of health problems. Performs routine minor outpatient surgeries and procedures.</li>
<li>Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients age-specific needs.</li>
<li>Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.</li>
<li>Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools.</li>
<li>Performs the required medical treatment on patients in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.</li>
<li>Provides emergency medical care when necessary.</li>
<li>Coordinates referral services with appropriate staff.</li>
