Sunkeeper Solar Overview
Sunkeeper Solar designs and installs solar photovoltaics and battery energy storage in standalone and hybrid configurations to offset fossil fuel consumption, provide off- grid resiliency, and equip buildings to partake in the clean energy transition. Comprised of an experienced team of installers, electrical workers, engineers, and technicians, with a deep understanding of the New York City clean-energy and construction landscapes, Sunkeeper Solar is an ideal partner for real estate owners and project developers of distributed generation projects in the NYC Metro area.
Assistant Project Manager
Sunkeeper Solar’s Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in select solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in and around the New York Metropolitan Area. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in project management, be interested to learn about renewable energy in New York City, and be excited to work in a dynamic environment.
Location: Office work will be performed in person in Sunkeeper's downtown Brooklyn office. This is an in-person position.
Responsibilities: Sunkeeper is a fast-paced and growing company, and applicants for the Assistant Project Manager position should be flexible and be prepared for a dynamic set of tasks. Common responsibilities for the position will include:

<li>Project Management Support
<ul>
<li>Submittal Package assembly and distribution</li>
<li>Safety Package assembly and distribution</li>
<li>Coordination of project documents and updating project management software</li>
<li>Taking meeting minutes and distributing to appropriate parties</li>
<li>Reviewing drawings and specifications for coordination</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Project Filing &amp; Regulatory Support
<ul>
<li>Drafting project applications for submittal to ConEd and NYSERDA and other Authorities having jurisdiction</li>
<li>Communicating with clients and partners</li>
<li>Coordinating responses to ConEd and NYSERDA, coordinating and documenting key meetings</li>
<li>Generating presentations</li>
<li>Attending jobsite inspections with authorities having jurisdiction</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Operations
<ul>
<li>Managing new vendor set up
<ul>
<li>Sourcing/reviewing COIs</li>
<li>Sourcing/reviewing NDAs/MSAs</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Vendor Management
<ul>
<li>Reviewing ongoing software vendors; negotiating new agreements where needed</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Maintaining database of safety certifications for staff
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with employees for renewals / additional certifications</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Accounts Receivable Support</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Office Management
<ul>
<li>Accepting/logging delivery of project materials in the office from 9 AM - 5 PM&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Distribute materials to project sites, as needed, via courier services </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Maintaining an organized, tidy office</li>
<li>Leading procurement / selection of office supplies</li>
<li>Organizing and Improve Sunkeeper Storeroom of Project Materials&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Reporting: This role will report to the Managing Partner.
Compensation &amp; Benefits: Compensation will depend on applicant experience and performance.

Discretionary bonuses may be paid based on applicant's job performance on an annual basis. Base Salary Range: $64,350.00 - $72,500.00 per year
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree</li>
<li>Familiarity with common office software (MS Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.)</li>
<li>Ability to travel to job sites in the NYC metropolitan area</li>
<li>Physical requirements: While the position is primarily an office position, SKS is a construction company and part of learning the company’s work will include some field work. Applicants should be able to work outside during hot and cold weather, climb ladders, and be comfortable on new building construction sites without an elevator. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation</li>
<li>If applicant does not already have it, the applicant will be required to get their OSHA 30 &amp; NYC 40-hour SST cards (Sunkeeper will pay for the classes)</li>

Desired Skills, Certifications, &amp; Experience: Preference will be given to applications possessing the following skills, experience, and certifications:
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with NYC utility and renewable energy stakeholders / process therein</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field</li>
<li>Persuasive and concise written &amp; verbal communicator</li>
<li>Willingness to learn new ideas - particularly in the realms of renewable energy, construction, project financing, and the particulars of selling &amp; developing solar and storage projects in NYC</li>
<li>Detail oriented and organized</li>
<li>Positive attitude and desire to work in person within a team&nbsp;</li>
