JOB DESCRIPTION
Critical Solutions is seeking an experienced Incident Response Analyst to support a cyber security operations center (SOC) for a federal program in Ashburn, Virginia. 
The IR will Utilize state of the art technologies such as host forensics tools(FTK/Encase), Endpoint Detection &amp; Response tools, log analysis (Splunk) and network forensics (full packet capture solution) to perform hunt and investigative activity to examine endpoint and network-based data.
 
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Conduct malware analysis, host and network, forensics, log analysis, and triage in support of incident response.</li>
<li>Recognize attacker and APT activity, tactics, and procedures as indicators of compromise (IOCs) that can be used to improve monitoring, analysis and incident response.</li>
<li>Develop and build security content, scripts, tools, or methods to enhance the incident investigation processes.</li>
<li>Lead Incident Response activities and mentor junior SOC staff.</li>
<li>Work with key stakeholders to implement remediation plans in response to incidents.</li>
<li>Effectively investigative and identify root cause findings then communicate findings to stakeholders including technical staff, and leadership.</li>
<li>Flexible and adaptable self-starter with strong relationship-building skills</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytic and qualitative eye for reasoning</li>
<li>Ability to independently prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision</li>
</ul>
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Active DoD Secret Clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering Field, IT, or Cybersecurity or related field</li>
<li>3+ years of experience be in the areas of incident detection and response, remediation malware analysis, or computer forensics.</li>
<li>Prior relevant experience should be in the areas of incident detection and response, malware analysis, or computer forensics.</li>

CRITICAL SOLUTIONS PAY AND BENEFITS:
Salary range $80,000 - $103,000. The salary range for this position represent the typical salary range for this job level and this does not guarantee a specific salary. This position is a full-time, in person position reporting to the Compliance Manager. As the Digital Compliance and Fraud Investigator. You will be responsible for analyzing and managing accounts focused on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, financial intelligence, suspicious activity reporting, sanctions screening, anti-bribery and corruption, and digital fraud analysis.
Job Responsibilities

<li>Fraud Detection and Prevention: Conduct thorough analyses of accounts and activities to identify and assess fraudulent behavior, utilizing advanced digital tools and techniques.</li>
<li>Digital Forensics: Perform detailed digital forensic analyses to investigate fraudulent activities, ensuring the security and integrity of digital financial transactions.</li>
<li>Transaction Monitoring: Oversee and review daily transactions to ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulatory standards, including the reconciliation of daily transactions and new customer accounts.</li>

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Tier 1 AS&amp;W Analyst for this highly visible cyber security program supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security operations center (SOC).  CBP SOC is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to CBP networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, various cloud environments, security devices, servers and workstations. The CBP SOC is responsible for the overall security of CBP Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates, and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.
The shift schedule is 7am-7pm, Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday.&nbsp;This position is located at our customer site located in Ashburn, VA.
