Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team and provide specialized support in oncology services at Duke Raleigh Campus, Duke Women's Cancer Care Raleigh, and Duke Cancer Center Cary. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of oncology nursing practice, infusion therapy, and patient-centered care.&nbsp;This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients undergoing cancer treatment by delivering expert clinical care and support. The Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist will address diverse oncology needs across inpatient and outpatient services at Duke Cancer Institute of Wake County. Responsibilities include policy and program development, research, quality improvement, staff development, and providing support for abstracts/publications. The Peckham Center is the largest pediatric cancer care provider and only pediatric blood and bone marrow transplant (BMT) program in San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial Counties. The Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Unit consists of 38 beds, all in private rooms, and includes 10 BMT beds in positive pressure rooms. We partner with California Protons to offer proton therapy. The Outpatient Clinic works closely with both the Inpatient Unit and Proton to provide comprehensive care to those in outpatient treatment.
