As the senior research officer of the university, the Vice President for Research is responsible for collaborating with relevant constituencies to develop and implement a vision, plan, and policies to guide and expand the university's research portfolio, and work with faculty to oversee critical aspects of the university's research infrastructure and operations.
Direct reports to the Vice President for Research currently include assistant/associate vice presidents, directors, staff members within the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). The Division of Research consists of Sponsored Programs Administration, the Office of Research Compliance, the Division of Laboratory Animal Research, and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Four of the university’s 29 centers and institutes also report to the Vice President for Research.

<li>Serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the senior leadership team of the university, sharing common university-wide goals and accountability with other team members.</li>

The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Acts as primary liaison with customer in solving problems related to the application process and service.</li>
<li>Communicates clearly and professionally with the customer by telephone and/or written correspondence regarding all aspects of claims process.</li>
<li>Educates and informs the customer by telephone, written correspondence and/or the claims system about the documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information and claim status.</li>
<li>Enters verbal and written application information that meets both the internal and external customer's requirements accurately into the claims management system.</li>
<li>Assigns new claims to the appropriate claims handler.</li>
<li>Directs customer calls to the correct person at all locations.</li>
<li>Participates in and maintains a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team.</li>
<li>Attendance during scheduled work hours is required.</li>
<li>Contract position.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Education &amp; Licensing High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Experience One (1) year customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience in an inbound call center preferred.</li>
