The Vice President for Research serves as a member of the university's executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President, and works closely with the Provost and other members of the President’s Cabinet. As the senior research officer of the university, the Vice President for Research is responsible for collaborating with relevant constituencies to develop and implement a vision, plan, and policies to guide and expand the university's research portfolio, and work with faculty to oversee critical aspects of the university's research infrastructure and operations.
Direct reports to the Vice President for Research currently include assistant/associate vice presidents, directors, staff members within the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). The Division of Research consists of Sponsored Programs Administration, the Office of Research Compliance, the Division of Laboratory Animal Research, and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Four of the university’s 29 centers and institutes also report to the Vice President for Research.

<li>Develop and implement a vision, plan and policies to guide the university's broad research portfolio in achieving the research goals of the university through regular consultation with researchers and research advisory groups across the campus. Work closely with colleges, schools and centers to advance the broad research mission of Wayne State University. Develop innovative ways to support faculty in seeking grant opportunities.</li>
<li>Develop strategies to ensure the necessary research infrastructure is available and aligned with existing research strengths and emerging research opportunities.</li>

<li>Serve as a member of the leadership team for the University Research Corridor, an alliance of Michigan’s three leading research institutions.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the senior leadership team of the university, sharing common university-wide goals and accountability with other team members.</li>

The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. Chadwell Supply is a successful family-owned business in the maintenance, repair and operations industry. We have 29 branches nationwide and are growing into more locations. To keep up with our growth we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to work as a Chadwell Supply Call Center Representative! The Call Center Representative will answer inbound calls from specified queues and process quotes, orders, and returns. They will accurately process all credit card authorizations, returns, request for histories, and reports. They will work closely with the warehouse personnel, account managers, and all branch managers to expedite any escalated calls.
What you will need

<li>Be a minimum of 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Be familiar with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and SalesPad.</li>
<li>Be able to perform data entry in a computer and extract information on orders and accounts.</li>
<li>Have strong process analysis and improvement skills.</li>
<li>Have ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.</li>
<li>Have a financial aptitude for understanding and facilitating profitable customer service order sales and fulfillment.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent education required; some college recommended.</li>
<li>Average computer literacy and experience required.</li>

<li>Be able to process stock orders, quotes, and returns accurately.</li>
<li>Work quickly to provide substitutes for items placed on backorder if requested.</li>
<li>Be able to process Credit Card Authorizations on open orders.</li>
<li>Communicate directly with the sales team, managers, and warehouse personnel to resolve conflicts.</li>
<li>Be able to answer the phone with a clear friendly tone.</li>
<li>Be responsible for reading and obeying all notes on accounts pertaining to the handling of our accounts.</li>
<li>Acknowledge and answer all emails as they arrive.</li>
<li>Participate in Lunch and Learns and all other product knowledge opportunities.</li>
<li>Remain logged into queues during business hours.</li>

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Call Center Representative will be responsible for professionally responding to telephone inquiries from callers and ensuring patient satisfaction by providing quality service, identifying patient needs and assisting them with issues/concerns related to health care issues.
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner;
• Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into eClinical Works;
• Schedule appointments properly and inform patient of items to bring to appointment;
• Answer questions and offer other information, as requested, to provide patient-focused service and a positive impression of the organization;
• Act as a liaison for the patients of the clinic;
• Direct calls to other departments as necessary;
• Use sound judgment when handling calls, especially with irate patients;
• Understand when to escalate calls to medical personnel/physicians/managers;
• Positively contribute to staff morale and corporate culture;
• Ensure that work assignments and information gathered from day to day work is not shared with anyone and protects all patient and agency information. Is knowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality;
• Ensure that our patients get the best possible care;
• Contact patients for required programs;
• Follow up with rescheduling missed appointments as assigned;
• Perform other duties as assigned to support BHC's Mission, Vision and Values.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• High School or Equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone
• Ability to relate to patients with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Insurance and medical experience preferred
• Proficient in use of computers and software programs
• Must be detailed oriented and able to handle multi-tasks
• Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier); and
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks, complexity, and diversity of customers
