This is a renewable, full-time, non-tenured, administrative position and reports to the Director of Infrastructure Services. The position may be located in Reno, Nevada. The NSHE is comprised of eight institutions: two universities, a state college, four community colleges and a research institute. The public system of higher education in Nevada continues to experience growth with significant challenges and opportunities in serving over 105,000 students and 15,000 employees. The Principal Network Engineer is responsible for the architecture, ongoing development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SCS's highly available and secure state-wide network, known as NevadaNet. This network supports academic research at Nevada's leading research universities as well as statewide connectivity for community anchors and other state or public institutions. Incumbents perform a wide range of work at the highest level of complexity utilizing sophisticated economic and technical analysis, design, installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting connectivity hardware and software associated with the SCS NevadaNet network, including routers, switches, fiber optic long haul transport and distribution equipment, firewalls, servers, racks, cabling and power. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting 
<ul>
<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>
<li>Provides insight and education regarding ASI and CSU Sacramento budget and financial operations to the ASI Student Board of Directors, full-time staff, student-staff, campus partners and the student community at a level of their understanding.</li>
<li>Oversees the preparation of the annual financial statements and 990 for ASI and the Union WELL.</li>
<li>Facilitates implementation of quality standards and priority criteria for service processes.</li>
<li>Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through assessment, staff training, and resource development. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with all internal controls and identifies potential improvements to increase efficiency of operations and security of company assets.</li>

Long Term Financial Planning, and Forecasting

Fiscal Services

<li>Serves as an advisor to the ASI Student Board of Directors. Bookstore&nbsp;- Responsible for the oversight of bookstore operations (currently contracted with Barnes &amp; Noble) Coordination with North Dakota University System office&nbsp;- Responds to requests for information from the NDUS and SBHE, assists with presentations as necessary and serves as a member of the NDUS Administrative Affairs Council. Budget Administration&nbsp;- Coordinates the budget requests and development processes. Serves on the Strategic Planning and Budget Council.&nbsp;&nbsp;Serves on the Faculty Senate Salary and Budget Committee. Contract Administration&nbsp;- Executes most contracts and works with assigned attorney to ensure compliance with state laws. &nbsp;
Secondary Responsibilities:
Dining Services&nbsp;- Coordinates with the VPSA to manage the food services contract (currently contracted with Sodexo).&nbsp;&nbsp;Sets board rates in conjunction with food services personnel. Residence Life&nbsp;- Coordinates with the VPSA to maintain residence halls for safety, security, and student satisfaction.&nbsp;&nbsp;Accounts for charges and receipts regarding student residence fees.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sets room rates in connection with residence life personnel. Dakota College at Bottineau&nbsp;- Coordinates with DCB personnel to provide advice and assistance as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree in finance, administration, accounting, or a directly related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.&nbsp; Minimum of eight (8) years successful and progressive experience and background in leadership and administrative roles, with direct and administrative fiscal experience in a college or university setting Outstanding communication skills&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Graduate degree in finance, administration, accounting, or a directly related field or CPA certification preferred
