Director of the Physician Assistant Program College of Nursing and Public Health JOB SUMMARY: The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University is pleased to invite applications for the position of Inaugural Director for the Physician Assistant Program to be based in Adelphi's new Manhattan Center. This is an open rank faculty position. The Director of Physician Assistant (PA) Program provides overall leadership and administrative oversight for the PA program, ensuring the program meets and exceeds the standards set by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). THE POSITION: The Alameda County Water District in Fremont, California is seeking a motivated individual for the Utility Mechanic I position in the Operations &amp; Maintenance Department. As part of the Facilities Maintenance team of skilled trades, the Utility Mechanic series performs a wide range of mechanical maintenance activities for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation work within the District's Water Supply, Production, Treatment and Distribution facilities. The Utility Mechanic series is responsible for pumps and piping systems, valves, chemical storage and feed systems, and various complex mechanical systems and fixed works within facilities. The position utilizes a variety of hand and shop tools, performs fabrication and welding, rigging and complies with industrial safety requirements. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong mechanical aptitude, initiative, and able to function well both independently and as part of a team.
Utility Mechanic I is the entry-journey level classification in the Utility Mechanic series. Under close to general supervision, within a framework of established policies and procedures, incumbents perform routine mechanical maintenance work, assist with the more complex maintenance and repair work, and will be subject to standby duty or emergency call outs after satisfactory completion of Probationary period. As experience and proficiency are gained, assignments become more varied and complex. Assignments are given in specific terms and are subject to frequent review by the Systems Maintenance Supervisor and/or Senior Utility Mechanic while in progress and upon completion. There is limited latitude for independent judgement and action in well-defined areas of work.
SALARY: The annual salary ranges for the Utility Mechanic I is $103,309 -$125,572, plus excellent benefits.
Education and Experience - Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent; and Three (3) years of full-time experience in maintenance and repair of water distribution systems, water treatment plants, food processing plants, refineries, or similar facility. Two (2) years of full-time experience as a Utility Worker II at the District can substitute for one year of required experience up to a maximum of two years. 
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- A Distribution Operator (D2) license and/or Treatment Operator (T2) license from the State of
California must be acquired within 18 months.
- Must obtain, and maintain, Service Truck Crane (STC) certification within 12 months of appointment as required by CAL/OSHA and FED/OSHA.

Repairs/rebuilds mechanical drive systems including, but not limited to, replacement of drive bearings, shafting, blower wheel assemblies, multi-pulley and belt drives, and exhaust blower assemblies and motors for HVAC equipment. 2. Maintains and repairs hot and cold-water pumping systems including motor replacement, bearing and shaft seal replacement, mounting and alignment techniques for proper operation, and replacement of rubber and chain drive couplings; repairs and rebuilds triple duty valve/Y strainer assemblies; checks valves, air and sludge separators, air bleeds and water treatment, air scavenging, and sludge removal. 3. Maintains and repairs cooling towers, evaporator condensers, and air-cooled condensers; maintains, repairs, and replaces fills elements, water distributors, filter screenings, piping, electrical components, and control operations. 4. Maintains hot water boiler operation, including electronic and mechanical safety, primary and secondary pump systems and boiler ignition controls, chilled water systems operations, water flow dynamics, and piping-pumping configurations. 5. Maintains and repairs, as necessary, gas fired furnaces, infra-red heaters, and hydraulic systems. 6. Works and meets with contractors and vendors obtaining estimates, evaluations, reports, and pricing, and provides recommendations accordingly. 7. Attends and participates in pre-construction meetings for assigned projects and work. 8. Responds to emergency electrical and plumbing calls; assists other co-workers as required; may serve as contact person in the absence of the supervisor; provides instruction on the use and operation of HVAC equipment; monitors HVAC over DDC/EMS computer systems; updates and maintains service logs. 9. Participates in District-provided in-service training programs. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned; specific duties not listed does not exclude them for this classification if the work is similar or related. Conditions of Employment: CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: SALARY: Salary grades consist of nine steps. A new employee is normally placed on Step 1 of the grade. Changes in step placement take place on the first day of the first month following the anniversary date of attaining permanent classified employee status until the maximum of the grade is reached. HOLIDAYS: There are 13 holidays observed each year. A pro-rata reduction will be made for employees working less than full-time and less than twelve months. Position Overview 
The Director of Development (DD) will partner with the President to design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that meets annual revenue goals. This position oversees all aspects of donor cultivation, membership growth, and corporate sponsorships, and supports signature fundraising events such as the annual Gala and Italian Festival/Exotic Car Show.
As the primary liaison for member engagement, the DD must be personable, outgoing, and relationship-driven—creating meaningful connections, enhancing stewardship, and fostering a strong sense of belonging among members and donors. Some evening and event-related work required.
Key Responsibilities 
• Develop and manage annual and multi-year fundraising plans. 
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, members, and sponsors. 
• Organize member- and donor-focused cultivation events. 
• Prepare corporate sponsorship proposals and renewals. 
• Oversee membership systems, data management, and retention strategies. 
• Support planning and execution of major fundraising events.
Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
• 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably in arts/culture. 
• Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals. 
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor CRM (Salesforce or Donor Perfect preferred). 
•&nbsp;Affinity for Italian arts and culture strongly preferred.
Compensation &amp; Benefits 
Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $120,000 with bonus potential. Full-time (approx. 35 hrs/week) with flexible, primarily in-office schedule. Benefits buy-in option with more than half of individual coverage costs contributed by employer.
