DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT PERSONAL CARE HOME ADMINISTRATOR:
<ul>
<li>Assist&nbsp;with the administration and management of the home, including the health, safety and well-being of the residents, implementation of policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist with providing personal care services or to supervise or to direct the work to provide personal care services.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Apply knowledge of Chapter 2600 personal care home regulations and work toward compliance on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance&nbsp;with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other individual records.</li>
<li>The assistant administrator shall be free from medical condition, including drug or alcohol addiction, that would limit the administrator from performing duties with reasonable skill and safety.</li>
<li>Assist to provide direct supervision, staff training and performance evaluations</li>
<li>Coordinate staff scheduling for the Direct Support Professionals, including report offs/call offs.</li>
<li>Coordinate and develop appropriate residential policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Complete attendance/payroll records for residential staff.</li>
<li>Support on-call needs for emergencies and provide residential coverage as needed.</li>
<li>Coordinate replacement/purchasing of all household items within the program budget.</li>
<li>Oversee PCH&nbsp;physical site, recommending changes and improvements, coordinating cleaning, repairs and general up-keep.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by the PCH Administrator.</li>
</ul>
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE ASSISTANT PERSONAL CARE HOME ADMINISTRATOR:
<ul>
<li>A license as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Department of State and 1 year of work experience in a related field.</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>For a home serving 8 or fewer residents, a general education development diploma or high school diploma and 2 years direct care or administrative experience in the human services field</li>
</ul>
OR
<ul>
<li>A license as a nursing home administrator from the Department of State.</li>
<li>21 years of age or older, required.</li>
<li>Valid PA Driver's license, required.</li>
</ul>
