Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education is responsible for the following:

<li>Manage accreditation compliance, reporting and site visits strategically</li>

<li>Manage annual faculty and staff performance reviews to ensure compliance with academic and code of ethics standards as outlined in the faculty and employee handbooks</li>

<li>Coordinate efforts to engage faculty and staff to participate in admission events, opening day events, matriculation, commencement, enrichment week and other key university events designed to foster community and celebrate our students</li>

<li>Execute fiscal decisions with institutional and SASE needs in mind</li>
<li>Prepare annual budget requests for the SASE and work collaboratively with the VPAA to craft final budget requests for the CFO</li>

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

Position Information: 
The College of Chiropractic at NWHSU is seeking a passionate faculty member to join our dynamic team focused on clinical sciences and rehabilitative care. This individual will play a key role in preparing the next generation of chiropractors by teaching courses in physiotherapeutic modalities, exercise prescription, and conservative management of extremity conditions. In addition to classroom and lab instruction, the faculty member will supervise students during on-campus clinical experiences and support the college by overseeing the setup, use, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment and tables. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on teaching and mentoring, is knowledgeable in manual and physical therapies, approachable and student-focused, and capable of guiding student workers on equipment maintenance to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
This is a year-round, faculty position where academic rank and compensation will be determined by qualifications and experience. 
Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.
Course Assignments May Include: Advanced Lower Extremity, Advanced Upper Extremity, Physiotherapy 1, Physiotherapy 3, and potentially additional Sports and Rehab Emphasis Electives. May provide secondary instruction to Methods courses as well.
Duties:
<ul>
<li>Teach courses relating to various physiological therapeutic techniques including modalities, therapeutic exercise prescription, and conservative management of the extremities.</li>
<li>Develop, revise, and maintain course curricula to align with institutional goals and current best practices in chiropractic care.</li>
<li>Mentor and supervise students during their clinical internship experiences in the campus-based clinic and provide feedback and evaluation to support their development in core competencies and professionalism.</li>
<li>Oversee the maintenance, repair, and inventory of all classroom and clinic tables/equipment, serving as the primary contact for faculty and clinicians regarding equipment needs, repairs, and replacements.</li>
<li>Engage in scholarly activities including research, publications, and presentations, that support the mission and vision of the institution.</li>
</ul>
What you need to have?
<ul>
<li>Doctor of Chiropractic degree, required</li>
<li>Active MN Chiropractic license</li>
<li>Teaching experience, preferred</li>
<li>Experience supervising and mentoring students in clinical or educational settings</li>
<li>Expertise relating to various physiological therapeutic techniques including modalities, therapeutic exercise prescription, and conservative management of the extremities</li>
<li>Ability to coordinate logistics, maintenance, and inventory of clinical equipment and therapy tables</li>
<li>Ability to foster an engaging and positive learning environment</li>
</ul>

Compensation:
$60,000-$70,000 (Assistant Professor); $70,000-$80,000 (Associate Professor); the rank of Full Professor may be considered based on qualifications and experience, with salary determined by market data and internal equity.
Academic rank and compensation are determined by a combination of education, related professional experience, and internal equity considerations. NWHSU is committed to fair and equitable pay practices and does not base compensation decisions on gender or any other protected status.
