This person is responsible for articulating a vision and direction for Academic and Student Affairs and effectively communicating that vision to the campus community. Responsibilities:

<li>Lead Academic Affairs, establish and communicate a strong academic vision while promoting a culture of shared governance (40%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Academic Officer of SOU and provides leadership and robust support for the faculty, academic schools, and the library at SOU. Duties include, but are not limited to: support and promote teaching, scholarship, and community engagement activities; administer contracts; supervise and evaluate the academic directors and faculty personnel roster; launch faculty development programs; assess recruitment and hiring priorities; oversee the promotion and tenure process, faculty appointments, merit salary increases, and sabbatical leaves; respond to faculty grievances; support program review and assessment of the learning enterprise; guide various programs including instructional services, off-campus and continuing education programs, summer session, inter-institutional programs, various galleries and collections, and all that is necessary to support coursework, research, and intellectual exploration associated with the university’s intellectual life; give direction to research, grants and sponsored programs, and other creative endeavors; maintain effective channels of communication with the President, faculty, and Faculty Senate; serve as strategist in the faculty collective bargaining enterprise; and create a culture of collective ownership and accountability while collaborating on decision-making processes quickly and effectively.</li>
<li>Lead Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (25%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA is the Chief Enrollment Officer responsible for the executive leadership, strategic planning, and administrative oversight for all operations and support functions associated with the recruitment, retention, and engagement of students. Duties include, but are not limited to: foster creative thinking that builds on SOU’s strong tradition as a student-centered institution; guide strategic efforts to address issues related to student development, health and wellness, success, equity, and retention; address issues related to the review, implementation, improvement, and enhancement of policies, procedures, and program-specific services; and oversee Enrollment Services, Student Success, and Admissions and Recruitment to ensure efficiency in operations that drive enrollment growth that aligns with institutional goals.</li>
<li>External Outreach (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA partners with the president to implement SOU’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic directions in a manner that realizes growth that enhances student learning opportunities and positively impacts financial and economic development. This position develops and cultivates public-private partnerships with local, regional, and statewide business and industry.</li>
<li>Accreditation (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA administers activities related to the accreditation and the external review of SOU and its schools, departments, and programs. This position ensures compliance with various academic disciplines and their respective accreditation agencies.</li>
<li>Budget &amp; Resources (10%) The Provost &amp; VPAA/SA designs effective budget models for Academic and Student Affairs. Job Description The College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the Al and Mary Agnes McQuinn Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership. The successful candidate will serve as Director of the McQuinn Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and, based on qualifications, be eligible for a tenured professorship in the College’s Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS). The position supports teaching and research relating to entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy, and related disciplines. This is a nine-month appointment. If hired at the Assistant Professor rank, the candidate will be appointed to the endowed Chair upon successful promotion with tenure at the Associate Professor rank. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship programs designed for a general business education, the McQuinn Chair’s position within CAFNR lends itself to a natural emphasis on entrepreneurship in life sciences, food and agriculture, rural development, and natural resource entrepreneurship. When created in 2004, the McQuinn Chair was designed to enhance research, classroom teaching, and one-on-one mentoring in entrepreneurial leadership, with a specific charge to enhance the life sciences economic engine in the State of Missouri and to help raise MU’s national reputation as promoter of innovation in this emerging field. This includes the pursuit of innovative and non-conventional visions, the parameters and requirements of risk-taking, and personal conduct and priorities. The Position: The Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO (VPFA) reports directly to the President and is a key member of the President's leadership team. Responsibilities: Strategy and Financial Leadership:

Fundraising and Endowment:

<li>Oversee endowment investments as prescribed by the Investment Committee of the Board and advise the President and key stakeholders, including administration, on strategic use of endowment funds.</li>
<li>Partner with the Vice President of Advancement to ensure effective stewardship of gifts to the College.</li>
<li>Represent the College externally as needed, especially in banking and lease negotiations. Manage bond indebtedness and banking and auditing relationships.</li>

Staff Supervision and Development:

POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO saw rapid and unprecedented expansion during the pandemic,prompting the need to grow and redesign our C-suite. The SEO Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for strategicdevelopment planning and activities supporting the NYC SEO Scholarsprogram and SEO general program/operating support, representing 40%of organization's $51M budget with the goal to grow support by 50%over next 3 years. A particular focus will be on nationalfoundations, corporate donors, and major individual donors. The CAOis expected to be a front-line national relationship builder andmajor donor solicitor, managing a portfolio of prospects, andsupervising an approximately nine-member development team.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Goodloe,the CAO will be a leader in lifting the current org-widedevelopment efforts to new levels of success by broadening ways toattract and more deeply engage with national foundations,corporations, and individual philanthropists over time – to becomestrategic sources of revenue. RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising:

<li>Drive a strategy to raise roughly an additional $10 - 15m+ inannual revenue for SEO general program support and Scholars programsupport from a variety of philanthropic sources (annual giving,major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, alumni) andspecial events (an annual gala that consistently generates $8m+ inunrestricted funds and several smaller events focused on theScholars program and general SEO support).</li>

COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS&nbsp;
The benchmarked base salary range for this position is$250,000 - $300,000.

GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION
The administrative assistant delivers support services to selected San José State University students. Responsible for recordkeeping, database, and budget management, as well as other administrative support duties as needed. &nbsp;Additionally, this person will report directly to the ASPIRE/McNair Scholars program director. &nbsp;
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Establishes and maintains a complex computerized system of files and records involving participant eligibility, demographic data, results of outcome objectives, and project contracts. Prepares written and statistical reports on student progress and outcomes as requested by the program director.</li>
<li>Maintains expenditure records by specific budget category. Creates and maintains computerized spreadsheets for budget monitoring and control. Reviews and verifies all computer printouts on program budget status prepared by SJSU Research Foundation accounting office.</li>
<li>Prepares quarterly budget reports and projected budget reports for the program director to monitor spending and the effective use of funds.</li>
<li>Assists the director in managing the program budgets and ensuring compliance with TRiO legislation and regulations as stated by the Department of Education.</li>
<li>Assists the director to ensure compliance in accordance with the grant contract with the U.S. Department of Education and SJSU Research Foundation policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Onboarding student staff and monitoring their daily tasks.</li>
<li>Clerical duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Coordinates office workflow and maintenance of files and records between ASPIRE and the McNair Scholars Programs.</li>
<li>Advises the director of any problem areas in handling office workflow, questions about program priorities, and suggestions for improving the efficient operation of the program office.</li>
<li>Arrange and coordinate travel and travel reimbursement for staff and participants of ASPIRE and McNair Programs.</li>

The News &amp; Content unit of the University of Virginia’s <a href="https://communications.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">Office of Communications</a> seeks a Senior Editor to help us tell the dynamic story of UVA and to advance its strategic priorities through content that engages with and grows a multitude of audiences.
This position would be ideal for a seasoned, mature editor at a daily newspaper, magazine or online publication with significant deadline experience and a track record of working with writers to generate compelling stories and improve copy.
The Senior Editor, reporting to the UVA Today Managing Editor, will oversee several direct reports; edit copy for grammar, accuracy, and adherence to Associated Press and local style; and research and write stories as needed. The ideal candidate will be a sharp-eyed, detail-focused journalist who efficiently shepherds daily stories through the editing process while also taking the time to help writers improve their craft. He or she will be attuned to news and current events and be able to quickly identify opportunities to showcase UVA’s students, faculty and staff in the context of the day’s key stories and issues.
Our Content &amp; News team operates a high-quality newsroom that values timeliness and urgency in its content, and collaborates to produce one of higher education’s most successful news products, and the most important strategic communications platform at the University.
