State Specialist for Urban Community Resource Development

Manages the delivery of all academic advising for undeclared students and leads&nbsp;the development, administration, and evaluation of advising and new cadet transition programs. Provides information, resources, and training to cadre of faculty and staff serving as academic advisors. Assists in the development of an advising curriculum and academic advisor development program. Coordinates with other mission elements to plan and schedule advising programs. Serves as a curriculum expert, mentor, and source of advice and guidance for cadets seeking assistance from the Office of Student Academic Services and Academy Registrar. Performs Associate Air Officer Commanding for Academics (AAOCA) duties in accordance with the USAFA curriculum handbook and DF guidelines. Serves as primary academic advisor to cadets until they declare a major, effectively managing advisee records and providing academic advice, mentoring, and guidance regarding the USAFA curriculum, programs, requirements, and opportunities. Uses a learning-focused approach to academic advising. Effectively maintains accurate advisee records. VP of Mission Advancement

General Summary:&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the direction of the University President, the Vice President for Administration &amp; Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF administers the University budget as well as supervises the Business Office, Human Resources, Office of Financial Aid, Facilities, Security and Safety, and the Office of Information Technology. The VPAF is also responsible for the outsourced Bookstore, general contract administration, regulation administration, The University’s annual budget, fiscal policies, and other services as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF works closely with various State of North Dakota governing and regulating agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. Facilities Management&nbsp;- Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of all buildings and grounds of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;Provides oversight for new construction and renovation of buildings. Gross Anatomy is taught in the first semester and is focused on team-teaching and, as such, faculty have adequate time to engage in research and/or writing. Course description:&nbsp;Gross and Developmental Anatomy focuses on the gross structure of organs and their function, and through clinical correlations, relates each to clinical medicine.&nbsp; An Anatomical Learning Resource Center has been established to utilize computer-based instruction, anatomical models, radiographic materials as well as supervised laboratory sessions dissecting various parts of the human body.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Students study the structure and function of all organs with some interaction with cellular structure.&nbsp; This course incorporates an understanding of how embryological processes give rise to the mature body form.&nbsp; When this course is complete, each student will have extensive knowledge of the gross anatomy and development of the entire human body as it relates clinically to the practice of medicine.
Salary and Benefits: &nbsp;The position is full time and the salary is commensurate with teaching experience and degree.&nbsp; The faculty member is provided with an excellent health care plan which covers both US and St. Kitts health care. &nbsp; Since there are three fifteen week semesters the faculty member has seven weeks’ vacation a year which comes as the last two weeks in May, August, and three weeks in December.&nbsp; Faculty are also provided an annual one week leave with expenses to attend a pre-approved professional convention. The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Job Description The School of Natural Resources (SNR) at the University of Missouri (MU) is seeking a faculty member in Climate Science. With this position, MU will better occupy a place among a select group of universities that boast a truly integrated and multidisciplinary approach to extension, research, and actionable scholarship in the field of climate science. This position will strengthen growing teaching and research programs, collaborate with other established MU research centers to garner major grants, form innovative new partnerships with private and public partners, and contribute toward improving grant and publication metrics considered in the Association of American Universities' (AAU) rankings. This position will complement and collaborate with faculty in SNR; the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR); and other colleges and departments across the MU campus. Collaborative opportunities also exist with the MU Center for Agroforestry, the MU Water Center, and the Interdisciplinary Plant Group (IPG). This is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment in teaching and research at the assistant professor level. We are seeking candidates with expertise in earth’s climate system, with a background in scientific areas such as climate dynamics, climate modeling, extreme weather events, or hydroclimate.
