About the Role
Our core technology (called the Node) will operate in the worst conditions the world's oceans have to offer for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a significant background in conceptual layout, system configuration, and structural design to help drive the Nodes to be simple, robust, and manufacturable. You will work alongside senior structural engineers, analysts, and mechanical designers to evaluate early-stage system architectures, generate layout models in NX, perform structural sizing and analysis, and translate scale model test results into resilient real-world systems.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Generate and manage skeleton models and mechanical layout configurations in Siemens NX.</li>
<li>Perform preliminary sizing, hand calculations, and detailed structural analyses using FEA tools (Femap, NX Simcenter, Nastran).</li>

Required Qualifications

Our core technology is the Node, a device that produces energy in the ocean's harshest conditions for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention. The Node's turbogenerator includes all components from the fluid interface through to electrical output, encompassing mechanical conversion, dynamic sealing, structural integration, and control interfaces.
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, Turbomachinery, you will lead the technical vision, execution, and continuous improvement of the rotating machinery that turns fluid power into electrons. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership role in which you'll prototype, build, and troubleshoot alongside world-class engineers and technicians.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the turbogenerator, from conceptual design through manufacturing, assembly, and test. The Senior Partnerships Manager at VidCon serves a dual role: driving traditional sponsorship sales while also developing and monetizing VidCon's creator ecosystem. You'll sell partnerships to brands across VidCon's diverse audience segments (Community, Creator, Industry, and VIP), while simultaneously building creator-led experiences that enhance sponsorship value. Working with prestigious clients such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Disney+, Hasbro, and The Coca-Cola Company, you'll create integrated solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Audience Sponsorship Sales
<ul>
<li>Develop expertise in VidCon's distinct audience tracks (Community, Creator, Industry, and VIP) and their unique sponsorship opportunities</li>
<li>Create tailored sponsorship packages that address the specific needs and engagement patterns of each audience segment</li>
<li>Identify and secure new partnerships with brand marketers, agencies, and creator economy companies across all audience tracks</li>
<li>Develop cross-track sponsorship opportunities that maximize brand presence throughout the entire VidCon ecosystem</li>
<li>Convert prospects into long-term partners through consultative selling approaches</li>
<li>Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets and KPIs across all audience segments</li>
</ul>
Creator Ecosystem Development
<ul>
<li>Package creator-led experiences (meetups, panels, branded segments, content series) as monetizable inventory for sponsors</li>
<li>Oversee talent relationships for creator-led brand or marketing opportunities</li>
<li>Lead special projects that bring sponsors and creators together to prototype new formats and experiences</li>
<li>Produce case studies showcasing the impact of creator-brand integrations</li>
<li>Build programs that connect creators with brands across all audience tracks</li>
</ul>
Client &amp; Partnership Management
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Account Management to share client goals and monitor delivery throughout the partnership lifecycle</li>
<li>Develop "Win-Win-Win" programs benefiting clients, business, and fans with focus on long-term partnerships</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Sales team to develop creator-aligned sponsorship decks and pitch materials</li>
<li>Cross-sell clients into additional products and digital packages; upsell clients into promotional programs at events</li>
<li>Bring opportunities, challenges, and pipeline updates to collaborative sales meetings</li>

Qualifications 
Experience &amp; Skills
<ul>
<li>5+ years carrying an individual sales quota in consumer/B2B event sponsorship with proven success</li>
<li>Demonstrable connections with brand marketers and/or B2B marketing decision-makers</li>
<li>Experience developing and monetizing creator-led experiences or influencer marketing campaigns</li>
<li>Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in selling across diverse audience segments</li>
<li>Deep understanding of experiential and digital media sales processes and client success metrics</li>
<li>Proficiency with PowerPoint sales deck creation and Salesforce (or similar CRM)</li>
<li>Regular travel to events, sales meetings, and client visits is required, including potential international travel.</li>

About the Job
Our core technology is the node, a device that produces energy in the ocean's harshest conditions for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention.
Once our nodes leave the manufacturing facility, they must be deployed, operated, and maintained safely and reliably across vast oceanic regions—all at an unprecedented scale and reduced cost. As a Senior Engineer, Marine Operations, you will play a critical role in overcoming these challenges by designing, building, and testing bespoke support equipment that facilitates deployment, retrieval, inspection, and maintenance of our offshore assets.
In this role, you will drive the development of essential mechanical assets from cradle to grave. You will conduct trade studies to identify optimal system architectures, perform engineering analyses, create detailed designs, and bring these designs to operational readiness. Additionally, you will support offshore operators utilizing these tools through initial commissioning and sustaining engineering.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Serve as the Responsible Engineer for development of novel marine support systems (aspects of these systems may include steel structures / weldments, mechanisms, pneumatics / hydraulics, and industrial controls / data acquisition). </li>
<li>Complete trade studies to identify preferred architectures / requirements </li>
<li>Carryout relevant engineering analysis individually and manage the support of subject matter experts as required. </li>
<li>Detail design of bespoke mechanical equipment (CAD modeling, development of schematics, etc.) </li>
<li>Execute and oversee the fabrication, testing, and commissioning of critical assets </li>
<li>Support offshore operations through initial commissioning of new systems and sustaining engineering. </li>

Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>BS or higher in mechanical engineering </li>
<li>5+ years of experience in a similar role</li>
<li>Experience owning the development of novel hardware from concept through commissioning. </li>
<li>Excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to marine systems (welded structures, mechanical assemblies, hydraulics/pneumatics, industrial automation &amp; data acquisition, etc.)</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability for solving problems which lack clear examples or well defined requirements. </li>
<li>Capable of managing critical vendor relations </li>
<li>Thrives in a culture of personal ownership </li>
<li>Competent with 3D modeling software and design practices (Siemens NX preferred)</li>
</ul>
Desired Qualifications

<li>Ability to perform structural FEA </li>

Compensation and Benefits
If hired for this full-time role, you will receive:

<li>Cash compensation of $155,000 - $200,000</li>
