This could include intravenous administration, administration of medications, advanced oxygen treatment and advanced cardiac monitoring and procedures. Works closely with other Paramedics and/or EMTS to deliver excellent patient care and customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to critically think to assess the extent of illness or injury accurately and obtain the patient’s medical history when possible.
· Providing appropriate care for patient condition and acuity, such as stabilization of a patient, assessing/ managing airway and administering oxygen, CPR and cardiac monitoring, placing catheters for venous access, administering IV fluids and medication, following established guidelines and protocols.
· Administering invasive and non-invasive therapies, including intubation and pulmonary ventilation, application of bandages, immobilization of fractures, bleeding control and various other tasks.
· Able to lead a patient care team and manage a change in patient condition effectively.
· Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions
· Dealing with physical as well as emotional needs of a patient.
· Handling radio communications and coordinating with dispatch center.
· Safe transportation of the patient to the appropriate medical facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Completion of an Approved Paramedic Training Program and obtained a valid Ohio Paramedic certification.

· Maintain current PALS certification. PALS certification must be obtained within six months of hire

This role serves as a direct liaison between field crews and upper management, addressing customer and patient complaints while providing technical assistance to service providers. The position emphasizes the use of advanced technology and equipment in delivering emergency and non-emergency medical services.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Supervise response teams, including paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs). This includes instructing, assigning, and reviewing their work, maintaining standards, addressing employee issues, and handling assigned disciplinary cases.</li>
<li>Oversee Paramedics and EMTs as they respond to emergency calls, functioning as mobile medical unit attendants or drivers. Ensure that all duties comply with applicable state and federal laws, local ordinances, established policies, procedures, and protocols, and operate within the established chain of command. Refer to policy manuals as needed.</li>
<li>Be capable of performing all duties and skills outlined for a Paramedic.</li>

<li>Maintain clear and concise communication with EMS personnel, hospital staff, and medical personnel using two-way radios or telephones. Establish rapport with family members of patients and bystanders.</li>
<li>Perform inspections and prepare reports and logs detailing observations, incidents, and treatments performed. Document any deviations from standard operating procedures, ensuring these deviations are in the best interest of the patient.</li>
<li>Operate the mobile medical unit in accordance with state law and established procedures for parking and backing at the scene of emergencies. Make minor adjustments as needed and report anything beyond minor defects for specialized attention.</li>
<li>Attend conferences, seminars, workshops, classes, and lectures as approved.</li>
<li>Research and stay updated on trends and developments in emergency medicine and emergency medical treatment. Complete coursework required to obtain and maintain certifications, and participate in departmental committees and/or professional organizations as appropriate.</li>
