Position Summary
<ul>
<li>This position will be working closely with the cardiovascular critical care patients, physicians and nurses to assist in the development of the Open-Heart Surgical program;</li>
<li>Manages comprehensive and individualized care through the inpatient phase in collaboration with the Cardiothoracic Surgeons by utilizing the best available evidence to guide practice interventions</li>
<li>Enhance and implement the delivery of optimal patient care and evaluate the post-surgical cardiac patients to improve patient outcomes</li>
<li>Develop criteria for and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice in addition to enhancing all quality measures in the post-operative patient in accordance with the STS guidelines</li>
<li>Provide consultation to the nursing and healthcare team; patients and families&nbsp;</li>
<li>Utilizes teaching, learning theory and appropriate teaching strategies in the provision of education to nursing in both the CVICU and PCU, healthcare team, patients and families</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Clinical Manager and Executive Director, Cardiovascular Service line to serve as leaders, change-agents and advocates at all levels to create innovative solutions for the cardiovascular patients as well as assisting the STS data abstractor with quality measures</li>

Providing make-up sessions for clients who missed their originally scheduled session. Allocating time for documentation and session note writing within ICANotes before the conclusion of the service period. Addressing individual client needs, if requested, within the service timeframe. Coordinating independently with the program coordinator to ensure client care needs are met. Maintaining compliance with COMAR regulations, professional licensing requirements, and ethical standards. The company provides an approved treatment curriculum, which the contractor may use at their discretion. Contractors may also integrate their own approaches as long as they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
