Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women's Health team based out of Haines City, FL! The CNM will deliver comprehensive outpatient reproductive and primary care services to women, including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and general gynecological care.
The ideal candidate will be confident working autonomously, flexible with floating between clinic sites, and deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and may include up to $75,000 in student loan repayment for a two-year service commitment.

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Graduate of an accredited Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Program</li>

<li>Clear and active Florida CNM license (or ability to obtain prior to start)</li>
<li>National certification through AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board)</li>
<li>BLS certification</li>

<li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment</li>

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Diagnose and manage common women's health conditions</li>
<li>Develop and implement individualized care plans; prescribe medications within scope of practice</li>
<li>Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance and disease prevention</li>
<li>Coordinate patient care with referral clerks, nurses, and other providers</li>
<li>Maintain timely and complete documentation in the EMR (SOAP notes, problem lists, medication reconciliation)</li>
<li>Adhere to clinical protocols, quality standards, and safety regulations</li>
<li>Precept students and contribute to staff development as needed</li>
<li>Rotate coverage to other sites and participate in Saturday/off-hour clinics when assigned</li>

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Certified Nurse Midwife in collaboration with Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. (OHI), staff physicians, will provide primary care services to the patients of OHI that is consistent with established policies, procedures and protocols, the Joint Commission policies and procedures, OSHA standards, and other safety and health related codes and laws.
Responsibilities:

<li>Performs complete health examination of perinatal, prenatal, and postpartum patients, including health history and physical examination, in accordance with protocols established by the Chief Medical Officer or designee.</li>
<li>Provides direct care for women in labor, including management of normal delivery.</li>
<li>Provides health instruction for women in all stages of life cycle.</li>
<li>Provides health examinations of inter-partum patients, especially those seeking advice concerning family planning and gynecological issues.</li>
<li>Provides patient/family education, health counseling, and health advocacy services to patients, their families and significant other.</li>
<li>Works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary health care team to establish patient care programs and policies.</li>

Education/Experience/Licensure:

POSITION SUMMARY To provide superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by: Providing acute, episodic outpatient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and education as a Certified Nurse Midwife. 
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Clear and active Florida Certified Nurse Midwife licensure • 3 years experience of related clinical experience in a primary health care environment, community health center or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). • Must be able to work with minimal supervision in various outpatient settings, is motivated, self-directed, and demonstrates initiative. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross • Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR). • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to speak and understand the English language to effectively communicate with patients. • Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology. • Meets department skill requirements. 
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Manages acute, episodic outpatient care and health maintenance needs through the provision of a Primary Care Medical Home. • Labor &amp; Delivery shifts, as scheduled. • Demonstrates competent skills in therapeutic, cost-effective pharmacologic administration and management. • Develops and implements formal and informal teaching plans for patients, families, staff, and community. Promotes patient/family-informed decision making in treatment plans and options. • Collaborates with Chief of Woman’s Health in development of clinical protocols/procedures for delivery of outpatient care. • Provides care to patients in a safe environment. • Participates in departmental CQI efforts and provides support for improvement of identified issues. • Works with clinical manager to ensure collaborative problem solving with staff through participation in identification, mediation, and resolution of issues and team problems. • Promotes staff and community enhancement through coordination of in-services to staff, physicians, and partners to promote profession and organization. • Attends monthly department staff meetings, quarterly medical directors’ meetings, and other scheduled meetings. • Maintains Quality Department Performance measures. • Value – Maintains predetermined productivity based on patient volumes. • Maintains internal customer satisfaction
