JOB DUTIES:

<li>Assist the Physician, Physician Assistant, and/or Nurse with patient flow in a clinic setting by measuring the patient’s vital signs and weight and scanning laboratory results in the Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR). </li>
<li>Organize, schedule, and perform laboratory studies, specimen collection and process within the Health Service Unit, to include A&amp;O in-processing, DNA per procedure, vaccine programs and PPD updates. </li>
<li>Prepare and ensure specimens are packed and transported according to the contract or BOP Reference Lab and document per Health Services Unit Laboratory Procedures. Ensure that lab requests are completed properly and all reports are returned from the contract lab, provider notified, log results in as received, follow up appropriately, and file results in lab and medical record. </li>
<li>Acquire and maintain knowledge of the Health Services Manual and Unit Procedures necessary to accomplish the mission described herein, ensuring that the Laboratory Procedure Manual is updated accordingly. </li>
<li>Assist the Health Service Administrator (HSA) or his/her designee in the coordination of BOP and Contract Reference Lab contact, CLIA re-certification, maintenance of equipment and notification of needed supplies. </li>
<li>Assist the HSA and Clinical Director with writing and implementing policies that deal with the laboratory program. </li>

Job Summary:

<li> Blood Drives. During blood drive days, the duty schedule will vary. Contract personnel will be scheduled a 9-hour workday between the hours of 0300-2359, to include a 1- hour non-billable lunch, on scheduled blood drive days. Essential Functions of the Role

Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support the Sonora Outpatient Clinic located at 13663 Mono Way, Sonora, CA 95370. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm, no weekends or holidays. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.&nbsp;

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Verifying patient identity using two identifiers</li>
<li>Performing venipunctures and collecting properly labeled specimens</li>
<li>Processing specimens for testing or shipment</li>
<li>Performing waived and/or non-waived testing</li>
<li>Reviewing clinician orders in the VA system</li>
<li>Maintaining professional, compassionate interactions with patients and staff</li>
<li>Promoting a cooperative work environment</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Must hold a current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate</li>
<li>Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting</li>
<li>Proof of current (within 1 year) tuberculosis (PPD) testing, rubella testing, and immunizations</li>
<li>No health or physical restrictions that interfere with job duties</li>
<li>Must comply with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards and CDC/HICPAC infection control guidelines</li>
<li>No sponsorship available</li>
</ul>
Pay Range:&nbsp;$27.12- $32.05 hourly&nbsp;
All candidates must be able to:
<ul>
<li>Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift</li>
<li>Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist</li>
<li>Lift up to 20 lbs</li>
<li>Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance</li>
<li>Push/pull with 30 lbs of force</li>
