We are seeking a phlebotomist to join our team! The phlebotomist will draw blood for tests, transfusions, donations, or research.

Locations: (Travel may occasionally be requested between facilities w/additional pay)

• Temple, TX 76504
• Waco, TX 76711
• Austin, TX 78744

Phlebotomy services shall be provided 40 hours per week, shifts to be covered may be any of the following but not limited to:

• 7am-3:30pm (with 30-minute lunch break)
• 4am- 12:45pm; 6am-2:45pm; or 7:30am – 4:15pm (with 45 min lunch)
• 4:00pm – midnight
• midnight – 8:00am
• Or any other shift not listed that is designated based on the needs of the service that is subject to change. These can also include variations of 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, as well as a set schedule that would include working every weekend if the service needs required it.

Responsibilities:

• Contractor personnel shall perform phlebotomy procedures in the Phlebotomy and Accessioning Sections as well as inpatient rooms in accordance with VA policies
• Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures
• Assist in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions

​Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Contractor personnel shall be mentally and physically able to fulfill responsibilities of the work to be performed.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Strong organizational skills
