MediTelecare is the nation's leading telemedicine provider of behavioral health care to skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities seeks, an experienced full time BHI Support Specialist. This positionis responsible for assisting the ancillary program manager in Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) related tasks.
While this is a largely remote role, only local candidates will be considered in the event of needed clinic coverage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Assist clinicians with gathering medical information for patients in-between visits utilizing different electronic health record systems.</li>
<li>Report any medical concerns monthly for patients such as falls, medication, behavioral concerns and recent hospitalizations.</li>
<li>Completion of BHI as assigned and as needed to ensure all interventions are completed each month approximately 20 patients per day.</li>
<li>Report any issues directly to the ancillary program manager and/or Chief Informatics/Compliance Officer when applicable.</li>
<li>Aid with additional employee trainings as necessary/provide support to newer employees that may need additional assistance via "shadowing."</li>

General Summary
Under pharmacist supervision, performs work in specialty areas including but not limited to pediatrics, medication reconciliation, oncology and investigational drug service the majority of the time.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

<li>Selects, packages, and labels medication and supply orders for inspection and approval by a pharmacist. Processes medication orders following proper protocol including accurate data entry of patient information, insurance information (if applicable), and medication order details for verification. Selects correct drug product, fills, and matches labels for each medication order.</li>
<li>Maintains, tracks, and monitors inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established par levels and informs the appropriate individual of stock needs and shortages.</li>
<li>Uses general knowledge of medical informatics including order‐entry systems, automated dispensing devices, bar‐code packaging devices, bar‐code medication administration (BCMA) systems, clinical integrated systems and system/application maintenance in the performance of daily duties.</li>
<li>Calculates, measures and compounds intravenous sterile medications in accordance with USP 797, USP 800, and other established practices and policies and may include hazardous drugs.</li>
<li>Obtains detailed, comprehensive medication history from various sources using strong communication skills for further pharmacist verification.</li>
