As a leader in our Operations team, the Manager - Data Center Operations is responsible for all operational aspects and uptime of the data center. The manager is responsible for providing Field level technical expertise and program management for the maintenance and operation of the electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, security, and communications infrastructure as well as any applicable base building support systems. All Data Center Operations staff reports through the Manager - Data Center Operations. 
Please note this position is for the Night Shift which includes the hours of: 11:00pm - 7:30am
 Mechanical responsibilities will include chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems.
 Electrical responsibilities will include electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load.
 Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices.
 Communications Infrastructure responsibilities will include IFD / MDF / MMR management, structured cabling and supporting infrastructure ownership, and customer space management.
 Security responsibilities include all security systems and cameras as well as physical security of the data center. 
 The position is responsible for customer support services, all onsite vendor management, vendor contracts, site operational efficiency, site uptime, compliance audits, team training, and facility financials. The Data Center Manager will assist the Market Director in developing financial OPEX and CAPEX budgets and will be responsible for meeting strict budget standards.
 The Manager - Data Center Operations is responsible for implementing the Data Center Operations Program at his or her site. The Manager - Data Center Operations is responsible for employee training and ensuring all staff is adequately qualified to perform required duties. Shift coverage and schedule are the duties of the Manager - Data Center Operations. The individual must possess strong management and interpersonal skills. The Manager - Data Center Operations is responsible for evaluations and coaching of his or her direct reports. Regular team and induvial meetings are required.
Duties:

<li>Advise the Director – Data Center Operations in the development and supervision of the facility maintenance program and equipment/system operation.</li>
<li>Demonstrate technical knowledge and experience in telecom, cabling, electrical and mechanical support systems to include power distribution systems, emergency power, UPS systems, D/C power, HVAC, and fire alarm and suppression systems.</li>
<li>Ensure data center operates at maximum operational efficiency, including analyzing existing operating conditions, recommending new technologies, and improving overall efficiency and cost reduction. Ideal candidate will have a demonstrated technical ability and innovative thinking cross functionally, including integrated systems and IT.</li>
<li>Completion of our Data Center Operations Qualification Program to the tier level at which you are hired within the first nine (9) months of employment.</li>
<li>Senior technical point of contact for all aspects concerning the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of site support systems.</li>
<li>Participate in the overall facility design and construction related to site operation, maintainability, and security.</li>

<li>Responsibilities will include ensuring that operational, maintenance and emergency Methods of Procedures (MOP's) are developed, reviewed and audited through all stages of the maintenance process for electrical, mechanical, communications, safety, and security support equipment.</li>
<li>Will mentor and provide training for personnel in the planning, scheduling and completion of preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance.</li>
<li>Will assist in the development and maintain departmental budgets, focusing on cost saving methods.</li>
<li>Training of site personnel on all aspects of individual job duties.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain along with supervisors individual training plans for each employee.</li>
<li>Lead customer meetings to review happenings on site.</li>

Requirements

<li>Expert understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including, but not limited to the following: electrical distribution and layout, Transformers, PLC's, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, STS', ATS' PDU's, Chilled Water Systems, CRAC/CRAH's, Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of fiber optics / cabling infrastructure and industry best practices.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge in industrial safety best practices (i.e. lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations)</li>

<li>Responsible for providing tenant-driven, on-site supportive services including: engagement, group scheduling, outings and activities, dispute mediation, ADLs, community integration services, resources and referral, and monitoring the milieu and tenant safety. </li>

<li>Provide transportation as needed to critical appointments with other providers Documentation and Data Collection </li>

SKILLS: Experience working with homeless and chronically mentally-ill population, crisis intervention, understanding and commitment to Psychosocial/Recovery-Oriented philosophy, Strong computer skills, ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Familiarity with and dedication to the Housing First and Harm Reduction models required. 
QUALIFICATIONS: (Education &amp; Experience) A minimum of 2 years' experience working with the mentally ill population in a community or housed setting necessary. Ability to work as a part of a team is crucial. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. Must have own transportation and current California driver’s license and insurance with good driving record 
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Work with people experiencing homelessness whether on the streets, in shelters or other places of habitation or services, may present inherent challenges and difficulties such as: exposure to bed bugs or other infestations, unpleasant smells or odors, individuals who may have poor hygiene or unclean homes due to homelessness, mental health symptoms, or poverty. Additionally, in working with our members, employees may encounter instances of profanity, sexually explicit or derogatory language, or verbal or physical expressions of anger and trauma. Very rarely do these situations ever escalate to physical contact, and negative or derogatory communication patterns can often be negotiated successfully. All direct care staff are provided adequate training to develop skills to deescalate crisis situations that may arise and Step Up has established procedural safeguards for all employees to mitigate (but not eliminate) these inherent risks of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The ACFS Family Services Specialist, under the direction of the Child Placement Services Manager, is responsible for overseeing various professional assignments to provide services to socially and/or economically disadvantaged individuals in programs administered by ACFS Child Placement Services. Caseworker-Family Services Specialist carries a caseload consisting of family support services, child and adult protection services, and ICWA Monitoring services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)

<li>Completes program-specific paperwork within established time frames.</li>
<li>Maintains client files according to program and funding guidelines.</li>
<li>Provides 24-hour crisis intervention.</li>
<li>Provides on-call services.</li>
<li>Responds to critical situations involving children and families within defined time frames. </li>
<li>Evaluates the safety of living environments through home visits and client interviews. </li>
<li>Completes risk assessments with the family to determine individual strengths and needs and makes appropriate recommendations for services based on assessment results.</li>
<li>Identifies placement resources for children involved in child protection cases.</li>
<li>Prepares and files court petitions in protective services and in-home care cases according to Tribal and State laws. </li>
<li>Testifies in court hearings as required.</li>
<li>Adheres to court orders by formulating a social services plan, supervising the family’s rehabilitative progress, and reporting to the court on any significant changes in case activity.</li>
<li>Reviews the behavioral, medical, and educational needs of each child referred for placement at specified intervals and other times as needed.</li>
<li>Prepares and presents information to the Sault Tribe Child Welfare Committee.</li>
<li>Serves as a Qualified Expert Witness and a Tribal Representative as needed.</li>
<li>Provide specialized knowledge and case consultation per the Indian Child Welfare Act, the Michigan Indian Family Preservation Act, and other various state and federal laws that pertain to child welfare court processes.</li>
<li>Provides in-home supportive services, education, counseling, community resource linkage, referral, advocacy, and other social service interventions to families and children.</li>
<li>Conducts forensic interviews.</li>
<li>Completes a monthly narrative and statistical report. </li>
<li>Implement and ensure compliance with various Federal and State Laws and Sault Ste. Marie Tribal Code.</li>
</ul>

<li>Develops and implements effective and culturally sensitive strategies for outreach to the Native American Community.</li>
<li>Establishes lasting networks and collaborations with tribal and community resources.</li>

<li>Attends workshops, conferences, and classes to increase professional knowledge.</li>
<li>Serves on projects and committees as assigned.</li>
<li>Serves as a resource person, responding to requests for information and assistance. </li>
<li>Administers breathalyzer tests and drug screens as needed.</li>
<li>Evaluates home and community-based situations for worker safety and follows best practices when working in volatile environments. </li>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position medium with the lifting of 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds. Physical factors include constant use of hearing, smell, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, and field of vision; frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, typing, and driving in and during inclement weather; occasional carrying/lifting, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, manual handling, and use of color vision. Working conditions include frequent exposure to weather, extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, noise, and air quality. Potential hazards include frequent client contact, infectious exposure, computer use, occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, electric shock, needles/syringes, and equipment use. Positions provide home-based services, and most work occurs within client homes/communities. At times these environments can be volatile due to drug/alcohol use, criminal behavior, or behavioral health needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services area: Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Family Ecology, Consumer/Community Services, Family Studies or Child Development, Guidance/School Counseling Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or in another major where 25% of the course credits earned toward the degree are in human behavioral sciences required.
Experience: One year of experience working with children and families preferred.
Certification/License: Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing requirements. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver’s license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must complete Forensic Interviewing training and show proficiency in implementing forensic interviewing protocol. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to handle potentially hostile clients and adversarial situations. Must be able to confront and redirect inappropriate client behavior. Must be able to travel. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to establish appropriate relationships and boundaries with clients. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsible for performing position responsibilities in a professional and courteous manner, sustaining professionalism under duress, and maintaining positive working relationships and communications with internal and external contacts. Must be able to establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and clients. Must have working knowledge and be able to use word processing and spreadsheet and database software. Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings. Must be able to work in a high-stress environment and handle difficult situations. Must have organizational skills and be able to plan, prioritize and manage workload to meet goals in a timely manner. Must be able to prepare clear, concise, thorough, meaningful, and grammatically correct written reports, letters, memoranda, policy and procedure drafts, and other written documents. Must adhere to department operating policies and procedures and safe work practices and procedures. Must have the skills, knowledge, and ability to be approved to testify as a qualified expert witness/tribal representative in various courts across the county. Must demonstrate skills and specialized knowledge related to Chapter 30 Child Welfare Code, the Indian Child Welfare Act, the Michigan Indian Family Preservation Act, and other various state and federal laws that pertain to child welfare court processes. Must maintain strict confidentiality. Native American preferred.
