What You Bring
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk a job site including climbing stairs while carrying a backpack up to 35 pounds in all weather conditions.
What We’re Looking For
Experience and Skills

<li>Minimum of one year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/carry at least 35 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.</li>
<li>Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.</li>

Education and Certification

<li>Valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification.</li>
<li>CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer).</li>

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary: The City of Aurora believes in providing the right resources at the right time to citizens in need, especially for those in crisis. The City of Aurora and the Aurora Police Department partner with UCHealth and Falck Rocky Mountain to provide three different crisis intervention programs to ensure that Aurora citizens have access to the most appropriate resource regardless of their situation. The civilian-led Aurora Mobile Response Team, the Aurora Police Department's Crisis Response Team, and the Targeted Violence Prevention program operate to provide a continuum of care through direct intervention, individualized crisis case management and resource referrals. The Aurora Mobile Response Team serves as an alternative response to law enforcement and pairs mental health professionals with EMTs/Paramedics to provide trauma- informed care for low acuity behavioral health calls for service. TheAurora Police Department's co-responder program, the Crisis Response Team, pairs Mental Health professionals with Crisis Intervention trained law enforcement officers to provide on-scene trauma informed care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Responsibilities:

<li>Interviews and assesses patients and/or patient's family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.</li>
<li>Determines, provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions. Participates and/or arranges case reviews/care conferences to evaluate progress. Consults with healthcare team members to promote, monitor and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.</li>
<li>Responds in the field as a co-responder with local law enforcement to patients in active crisis. Identifies appropriate resources including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provides referrals as part of the field response.</li>
<li>Utilizes appropriate teaching methods and/or referrals to ensure patient/family educational needs are met. Participates and/or trains new staff, students and interns as assigned.</li>
<li>Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.</li>

Description:
The Onsite Medical Representative will serve as the site’s designated first aid provider in the warehouse, coordinating and implementing the Safety Program. The OMR will provide first aid care to injured employees, actively analyze tasks for potential safety issues, participate in the Workers’ Compensation process, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management. The OMR will function as a part of the larger onsite safety team, helping to provide assistance with all health and safety needs. This includes attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site, either within a group setting at New Hire Orientation or through one-on-one interaction. The OMR will also participate, as needed, in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings.
Responsibilities:
· Provide triage, first-aid, and/or referral to outside medical providers, if indicated.
· Maintain all records of care provided to associates.
· Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock and clean equipment used to provide first aid care.
· Provide accommodation recommendations related to job placement for all employees on restrictions given by a medical provider.
· Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and leadership team. Provide analysis of all onsite incidents on a monthly basis including recommendations on how to reduce the risk and severity of injuries within the warehouse.
· Frequent “floor time” to interact with both associates and managers, providing coaching on observed at-risk work habits. Attend and speak at daily “start-up” meetings.
· Understand and learn each department and job function within the warehouse to fully understand the body mechanics involved in every task. Be actively involved with improvements to the standard work process.
· Initiate and maintain Workers’ Compensation cases when applicable.
· Update the communication board with health and safety tips for the building.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
· Ability to communicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organization.
· Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
· Valid State EMT-Basic Certification from the Department of Health from the state you are working in AND/OR valid National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification
· 1 year+ experience providing emergency services in a pre-hospital setting
· Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· Must be able to work flexible shifts which could include days, nights, and/or weekends
· Ability to maintain all medical credentials
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Certified to teach First-Aid, CPR and AED
· Experience leading and managing a team
