Requirements:

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, M-F
 
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other healthcare professionals.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Director of nursing to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Coordinate and oversee clinical operations, including resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and treatments.</li>
<li>Conduct regular rounds to assess resident care needs, monitor staff performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance on clinical best practices, resident care techniques, and professional development opportunities.</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care plans, progress, and any changes in condition.</li>
<li>Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize resident outcomes and ensure continuity of care.</li>
<li>Conduct staff evaluations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.</li>
<li>Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff members.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to nursing practice, resident care, and facility operations.</li>
<li>Promote a culture of safety, quality, and resident-centered care amount nursing staff and throughout the facility.</li>
<li>Handle resident and family concerns or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner, striving to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.</li>
<li>Perform all other duties assigned.</li>

Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where work is performed.</li>
<li>Some experience working as an RN or other related field preferred.</li>
<li>Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices in long-term care.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of healthcare professionals.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Understanding of regulator requirements governing nursing practices and skilled nursing facilities.</li>
<li>Leadership qualities such as integrity, accountability, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport with patients through a compassionate and caring demeanor.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to work directly with residents.</li>
<li>Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, twist.</li>
<li>Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed.</li>
<li>Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of managing a nursing unit and providing leadership to staff members as well as working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs.</li>
<li>Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.</li>
<li>Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager.</li>
<li>Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.</li>
<li>The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.</li>
<li>The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.</li>
<li>The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.</li>
