Position Summary

You will:

Direct Patient Care &amp; Surgical Support
<ul>
<li>See patients with Dr. Ronan and serve as his primary nursing support during pre-operative and post-operative visits</li>
<li>Act as a consistent point of contact for surgical patients, ensuring continuity of care throughout their journey</li>
<li>Conduct thorough pre-op assessments and prepare patients for surgery</li>
<li>Circulate in the operating room and provide clinical support during procedures</li>
<li>Oversee patient recovery in the PACU, including pain management and discharge instructions</li>
</ul>
Compliance &amp; Quality Assurance
<ul>
<li>Maintain strict adherence to AAAASF and Medicare standards for outpatient surgery centers</li>
<li>Assist with internal audits, inspections, and accreditation readiness</li>
<li>Support clinical documentation accuracy, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance</li>
</ul>
Patient Advocacy &amp; Care Coordination
<ul>
<li>Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout all phases of care</li>
<li>Provide timely post-op follow-up, education, and support to patients and their families</li>
<li>Be available for after-hours clinical concerns or urgent patient needs as appropriate</li>
<li>Take urgent after-hours calls, triage patient needs, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with the plastic surgeon and nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate interventions</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Active NP license in the state of California</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience in an outpatient surgical setting (plastic surgery experience preferred)</li>
<li>Strong background in PACU, OR circulation, and surgical nursing care</li>
<li>Familiarity with AAAASF and Medicare regulatory standards</li>
<li>Exceptional communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills</li>
<li>Experience with aesthetic treatments (e.g., injectables, laser) is a plus but not required</li>

MDS PC puts an emphasis on quality and customer service first. Another crucial focus is treating in place when possible and reducing unnecessary hospitalizations.&nbsp;

MDS PC is experienced in providing medical services in an SNF setting with an understanding of how to give effective medical care in an SNF as well as an understanding of the survey process. We are currently providing services in facilities with specialty units and provide appropriate medical personal with the experience in treating residents on a vent. It is standard for our providers to reach out to the surrounding hospitals to ensure that we have good communications in terms of the continuation of care. We put a major focus on reducing the number of medications as well as the requirements with narcotics and psych meds. If the providers feel that certain medications are appropriated, we ensure that it is well documented so that the facility will not be cited.&nbsp;

You will:

Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.

Required Qualifications:

This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.

Order and administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.

<li>
Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
</li>
<li>
Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
</li>
<li>
Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish
</li>
<li>
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
</li>
<li>
Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
</li>
</ul>
&nbsp;Education:

Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role&nbsp;

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$50.22 - $108.15
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. &nbsp;The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. &nbsp;This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.&nbsp; &nbsp;
