Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>The Substitute Teacher performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area. </li>
<li>Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.</li>
<li>The Substitute Teacher maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.</li>
<li>Maintains student personnel folders.</li>
<li>Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Certified to teach in state in which center is located (RO may waive if center is unable to hire certified teachers, but the candidate must pursue certification). State guidelines for substitute instructors may be adhered to.</li>
<li>Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization </li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.</li>
<li>Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.</li>
<li>Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.</li>
</ul>

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
