The Prescribing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical services, including but not limited to medication management, clinical evaluations and therapy. SERVICES:
The Prescribing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner shall render the following services:

LEVEL AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
Supervised by the Medical Director and direction from the consulting pharmacist and Nurse Practitioner. Supervision to include one (1) hour per week and participation in case staffing, general, and team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 
Master’s degree and hold a Nurse Practitioner License with Psychiatry indication. Must possess an unrestricted and current license to practice medicine in the State of New Mexico. Two (2) or more years of experience working in behavioral health is preferred, but not required. Licensure must be maintained during the period of employment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
CONDITIONS OF WORK:

Position Description Mental Health Resource Center is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Program that serves individuals in the Tampa, Florida area. The FACT program serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness, who may also have a co-occurring substance abuse disorder. The programs multidisciplinary staff obtain or directly provide all mental health services to participants, primarily in their homes or the community, including: Psychiatric Care, Medical Referral and Follow-Up, Individual Supportive Therapy, Crisis Assessment and Intervention, Substance Abuse Services, Employment Support Services, Support in Activities of Daily Living, Social Network Support and Development, Peer Recovery Support, and Case Management Services. A minimum of 75% of the FACT teams services are provided in the persons home or community environment. Company vehicles are available; however staff may also need to use their personal vehicles to provide services. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

<li>Completes screenings, assessments, and/or regular visits in both office and field-based settings as identified on the individuals treatment plan. This may include visits to hospitals, CSUs, jails, or other community living environments.</li>

Practitioner Requirements
• Licensed APRN with PMHNP certification and master’s degree from an accredited program
• Minimum 3 years of post-certification experience (outpatient preferred)
• Valid and unrestricted APRN, DEA, and state licenses; maintains compliance with all prescribing and monitoring regulations, and maintains proper levels of liability insurance
• Medicare/Medicaid eligible provider; maintains all required credentials and liability insurance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable engaging in client development and representing the practice in the community
Practitioner Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical services to children and adolescents in alignment with best practices and state/federal regulations
• Collaborate with a broad multidisciplinary team as well as our community partners, writing orders as defined by the parameters listed in the Standard Care Arrangement (SCA)
• Complete timely, accurate documentation to support quality care, billing, and compliance requirements
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, including patient education, referrals, and care coordination
• Participate in call coverage and provide ongoing support to assigned patients
• Engage in continuing education, credentialing, and quality improvement activities to ensure excellence in care delivery

 Part Time - 20 hours per week $90-95 an hour Position Summary: As a key member of the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, the Psychiatrist plays an essential role in prescribing medications, coordinating with the team, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. This position also supports youth and families while educating the team on medication management and health-related issues. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive psychiatric services, including assessment, evaluation, treatment, and psychopharmacology. Additionally, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner offers consultation to families and provides training for staff regarding specific disorders, medication concerns, and treatment strategies. The. As part of the clinical team, they contribute to the interdisciplinary approach, provide staff training, and oversee medication management within the Youth ACT program. Responsibilities:

 Education:

 Experience:

<li>Five years’ experience as a psychiatric clinic nurse specialist and/or psychiatric nurse practitioner preferred </li>

<li>Previous experience in prescribing psychotropic medications to child/adolescent population based upon multiple diagnoses required </li>
<li>Ability to perform psychiatric evaluations on children ages 10-21, diagnose according to the DSM-IV-TR, participate in and make recommendations to the treatment teams, initiate and prescribe medication treatment based on diagnoses and re-evaluate conditions and medications required </li>
<li>Proficiency in psychopharmacology is crucial, with a commitment to adhering to New York State practice requirements and regulatory standards is essential to ensure compliance and uphold the integrity of clinical activities required </li>
<li>Use of computers and telecommunications to input assessments and progress notes in the agency electronic health record required </li>
<li>Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required </li>
