What We're Looking For
We are seeking a&nbsp;Construction Supervisor&nbsp;with strong carpentry skills to manage our site work, home delivery, and finishing. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who is excited to work with both traditional building methods and our innovative modular construction process.

<li>Must have an active Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL) in Massachusetts.</li>
<li>Multifamily residential experience is preferred, but extensive ground-up residential home construction will be considered.</li>

Responsibilities

<li>Subcontractor Management:&nbsp;You will be the primary point of contact on the jobsite, responsible for all subcontractors from the first shovel to the client move-in. <li>Employee Management &amp; Training:&nbsp;Lead and train our company carpenters, providing daily work lists and guidance to ensure quality and productivity.</li>
<li>Jobsite Safety:&nbsp;You are the designated Jobsite Safety Officer, responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.</li>
<li>Project Coordination &amp; Communication:&nbsp;Maintain clear and helpful communication with all stakeholders, including clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and neighbors.</li>
<li>Daily Documentation:&nbsp;Maintain a detailed daily log with photos and notes to ensure clear communication and a complete project record.</li>
<li>Scheduling &amp; Planning:&nbsp;Partner with the Project Manager to maintain a four-week lookahead schedule for materials, labor, and logistics.</li>
<li>Quality Control:&nbsp;With the support of our entire team, you will be responsible for delivering a finished, high-quality product to the customer.</li>
<li>Risk Management &amp; Project Closeout:&nbsp;Identify potential project risks and support closeout activities, including punch lists and warranty documentation.</li>

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for reporting to and assisting the Construction Manager in performing professional construction administration work in the design, review, and management of assigned capital improvement construction projects. Areas include, but are not limited to, District buildings, park improvements, and other Civil discipline and vertical (facility) asset projects.
Position is also responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in the maintenance, planning and repairs of District assets, including but not limited to Fire Stations; items such as roofing, HVAC including chillers with remote controls, plumbing, electrical, pools, sports courts, flooring, paint, furniture, windows, fixtures (lighting and plumbing), restrooms, kitchens, stages, retractable doors, generators, audio systems, sidewalks, curbs, patios, parking lots, dumpster enclosures, fencing, janitorial, pressure washing, pest control, fire alarms, station “call-out” and suppression systems.
Establishment of effective daily communication and a mutually productive working relationship between other Departments and contractors is essential. Ability to efficiently plan, schedule, inspect work while achieving timely completion of projects is essential. Maintains and ensures contractual obligations are followed by all contractors while abiding by all state, local and federal laws required.

<li>Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections.</li>

<li>Supervise Inspection Teams</li>
</ul>

<li>Approve all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required.</li>

<li>Measure and record quantities for payment</li>

<li>Prepare as-built drawings</li>

<ul>
<li>Serving as on-site project representative.</li>

Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (not required)</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: NECEPT or PennDOT concrete</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>NICET Certification: II-IV is preferred.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Valid Driver’s License</li>

What You’ll Do as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS):
<ul>
<li>Supervise and assign inspection teams across active highway and bridge projects</li>
<li>Support the growth of construction inspection services in the PennDOT District 1 region</li>
<li>Oversee field inspections for compliance with plans, specs, and PennDOT standards</li>
<li>Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs, notes, and reports.</li>
<li>Prepare inspection reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions required.</li>
<li>Communicate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to discuss inspection results and address any issues.</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance to resolve construction challenges</li>
<li>Identify and report any deviations from approved plans and specifications.</li>
<li>Evaluate construction sites for adherence to safety protocols and regulations.</li>
<li>Report and address any safety hazards or violations promptly.</li>
<li>Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers and ensure construction projects progress smoothly.</li>
<li>Attend meetings to provide updates on inspections and address any concerns.</li>

Requirements:
What You Bring, Your Expertise

<li>NICET III in Highway Construction Certification or B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar field with at least 5 years of construction inspection or construction management experience required</li>
<li>PennDOT Concrete Certification preferred</li>
<li>NECEPT Asphalt Certification preferred</li>
<li>PennDOT Guide Rail Installation, Inspection &amp; Maintenance certification preferred</li>
<li>Proven field inspection and supervisory experience on transportation projects</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of PennDOT specifications, construction standards, and QA/QC principles</li>
<li>Ability to manage project priorities and lead inspection staff effectively</li>
