WHAT WE'RE OFFERING

The Construction Project Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Construction Project Coordinators and Field Engineers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Supervise all Project Coordinators and provide guidance for project timeline adherence.
  • Ensure all Project Coordinators are in adherence to the United Safety and Code of Conduct Policies.
  • Set and maintain staffing schedules for system coverage during regular business hours as well as on-call for after-hours concerns.
  • Analyzing risks and opportunities and providing solutions where applicable.
  • Respond to customer concerns.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager, OSP Manager, or Engineers regarding concerns about construction design or progress.
  • Attending and participating in stakeholder meetings; Ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
  • Ability to communicate project status to all participants.
  • Providing subcontractors with information and support, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow work to proceed as scheduled.
  • Review all invoicing for accuracy and timely submission.
  • Work with Warehouse to ensure project material levels are adequate for project completion.
  • Monitors project workflow using project management software, advises on improvements or corrections where needed.
  • Supervise Project inspections to ensure the work invoiced is accurate to the work performed.
  • Provide feedback to the Engineers relative to new developments not currently in design.
  • All other duties assigned by the Project Manager or the Director of Construction
  • Supervise and manage compliance of SLAs for residential and SMB HLEs.


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Construction work experience
  • 2+ years of Telecommunications work experience
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints.
  • Knowledge of NESC aerial and UG requirements, as well as understanding of State and local regulations for working within their rights-of-way.


POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS

This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position reporting out of our Murfreesboro, TN office location. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including weekends and late shifts as customer demands warrant. Travel will be required within United Communication's Middle Tennessee territory.
