ACCOUNTING CLERK SECTION 1: POSITION DESCRIPTION BASIC FUNCTIONS Under general direction, performs a variety of secretarial, accounting, and clerical work; assists in the preparation and processing of payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable; assists in the preparation all State and Federal reports; assists with administrative duties; performs related work as required. RELATIONSHIP The Accounting Clerk reports to the Finance/HR Director and serves at the will and pleasure of the District Manager. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS The Accounting Clerk holds a confidential position and is responsible for carrying out routine, but highly important office duties and practices relating to administrative workload and field requirements. EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

<li>Assists in the maintenance of files and procedures for handling such items as mail, reports and personnel transactions including timekeeping records; assists in the maintenance of records and files of fiscal transactions, checks, invoices and statements; posts to appropriate account, balances accounts, assists in preparation of payrolls, accounts payable warrants and financial statements; maintains confidential files.</li>
<li>Acts as assistant to Finance/HR Director, and provides secretarial services to other staff as required; takes and transcribes dictation, assist in the assembly of material for Board meetings, and takes and transcribes Board meeting minutes;</li>
<li>Assists Finance/HR Director in the maintenance of personnel records and files;</li>
<li>Acts as receptionist, answers phone, receives and routes visitors; answers questions on agency operations or refers to appropriate person, takes service requests and complaints obtaining all necessary information accurately and refers to the appropriate person.</li>

Job Description
Lakeshore Talent is partnering with one of our clients in their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to play an important role in their finance team, supporting daily accounting operations with a focus on vendor payments and invoice processing. This position is hybrid, based in Denver, and reports to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with multiple systems and teams. Pay: $65,000-$70,000/year Location: Hybrid out of Denver, CO
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Accurately process and review invoices in line with company procedures.</li>
<li>Prepare weekly payment batches and ensure timely disbursements.</li>
<li>Verify billing accuracy against purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documents.</li>
<li>Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate vendor records, including payment terms and contact details.</li>
<li>Reconcile vendor statements and address inconsistencies promptly.</li>
<li>Provide supporting documentation for audits when requested.</li>
<li>Generate reports related to expenses and vendor activity.</li>
<li>Assist with implementing process improvements and automation for accounts payable functions.</li>
<li>Support tax reporting requirements, including preparation of 1099s.</li>
<li>Help set up new entities and manage banking details as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality in handling financial and organizational information.</li>
<li>Provide support to colleagues across accounting and finance functions.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency within excel</li>
<li>Sage ERP Experience, strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently.</li>
<li>Experience resolving invoice/payment discrepancies.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Tipalti accounts payable software, preferred
</li>
</ul>
