Job Summary and Qualifications 
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center. Under the direction of your Physician, you will perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures in compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes. You will be tasked with upholding the HCA mission, to commit to the care and improvement of human life.&nbsp;&nbsp;
 
What you will do:&nbsp;&nbsp;

<li>Prepares patients for exams and procedures. Assesses patient condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling your procedures according to your physician’s preference card&nbsp;</li>
<li>Tests and monitor your equipment for proper working condition&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will document records and other forms, accurately adhering to approved policies/procedures&nbsp;</li>
<li>Confirm that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray&nbsp;</li>

As a CT Technologist, you will work with our friendly radiologists assisting with various types of procedures. There are always opportunities to learn new things and be challenged in your career. Under the direction of your Physician, you will perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures in compliance with established protocols to promote positive patient outcomes. The Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Specialist- Certified plays multiple roles on the Cardiac Cath Lab team as the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist during Cardiac Catheterization procedures. In both roles, he/she demonstrates technical proficiency in all Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and equipment; applies anatomical and physiological knowledge to proficiently assist the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist with providing cardiac patient care. As the Invasive Specialist, he/she maintains good communication with the Cath Lab team to ensure proper equipment set up, accurate monitoring, and quality data collection.&nbsp;
Essential Job Functions:
1. Demonstrates technical proficiency for all cardiac catheterization procedures while functioning in a primary role as a Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Specialist.&nbsp;
2. Consistently and correctly identifies cardiac structures, coronary vasculature, and the associated disease processes.&nbsp;
3. Practices radiation safety and observes all principles to ALARA. This includes a good knowledge of all regulations and requirements set forth by the Texas Bureau of Radiation Control and the Methodist Radiation Safety Committee and the proper use and storage of personal radiation badge.&nbsp;
4. Assists the physician in obtaining or entering data into the Physiologic Monitoring System(s) for accurate assessment of left and/or right-sided Hemodynamic pressure measurements. Assures accurate information is gathered or entered for the calculation of intra-cardiac shunts, valve areas, and pressure measurements throughout the catheter path.
5. Accurately reports Ejection Fraction by demonstrating proficiency in the assessment of Cardiac function, utilizing Left Ventricular Analysis program(s). Understands the disease processes that result in depressed Cardiac function such as: Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Myocardial Infarction, Valvular disorders, etc.&nbsp;
6. Consistently assures that Angiographic and procedural data is properly archived for long-term storage. Verifies the presence of all components of procedure information in both hard copy and computerized formats.&nbsp;

1. May have access to contrast agents and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.&nbsp;

D. Graduate of a NON-Programmatically accredited program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology which has a minimum of one (1) year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours.&nbsp;

Job Summary and Qualifications&nbsp;
 
&nbsp;Cardiovascular Technologists/Special Procedure Technicians demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings.&nbsp;
What You Will Do in This Role&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to perform contrast media administration according to age- and weight-specific guidelines.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Set up sterile trays and maintain a sterile field according to hospital protocol.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Scrub and assist the interventional physician during interventional procedures.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, including their actions, side effects, and contraindications for administration.</li>
<li>Exhibit the ability to start and maintain IV access.Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Properly measure and dispose of radioactive waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
What Qualifications You Will Need
Candidates must have one of the following:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI),&nbsp; &nbsp;or the ability to obtain this certification prior to hire.</li>
<li>OR Current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Additional requirements:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>BLS certification required.</li>
<li>Completion of ACLS training within six months of hire.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab preferred.&nbsp;</li>
<li>New graduates of RCIS programs will also be considered.</li>
